So where does MK go from here. *Spoilers inside*

With MK now having a set in stone story arc and outcome due to the story mode, the question is where do we go from here. WEe can expect the next MK to be based off of MK4 and the Shinnok story Arc, but with a good number of the Original characters now dead like Nightwof and Kitana as well as Lui Kang at Raiden's own hands, Noob Gods know where, and Sub-Zero now a Cyborg, it looks like the next MK will be a vastly different landscape. Are people happy with this, or are we looking to see the dead return in some way. Do we want more original fighters next time?

Not only is Sub Zero a cyborg, but he's dead. lol

I'm not sure where they'll go from here. I have a feeling most (if not all) of the dead characters will make a comeback - Which I'm not thrilled about. I don't care for the "dead... Now alive... Now dead again. And yet I live once more" ********. But if it brings my Smokey-Bokey back, I'm all for it.

Didn't all the fighters who died in MK3 come back in MK4 because of some barrier breakage or some shit?

That was because of the merger of the realms (Johnny Cage) blocking his ascent to heaven. While all the other guys who died went straight to the netherrealm into Quan Chi's hands... I know, it sucks.

I still don't understand why they'd be going down that path yet again.
Didn't they get enough hell for it the first 3 times?

Someone needs to contact NRS and tell them that if they bring ANY of the MK4 fighters into this reboot they'll have a riot on their hands.
I refuse to see Jarek, and Reiko ever. Ever. Ever. Again.

And I know a few other fans who would be upset too.

Eh. Reiko isn't so bad. They just need to do him right. I could do without Jarek. But I would like to see Tanya. She was pretty rad.

The only post-mk3 character I want any where NEAR this game is Bo Rai Cho but only if he is a serious and not fat character and that's only because he trained all of the greats.
He needs to put down the drink and stop farting for his moves and I will accept him.
I guess Reiko could be okay too if he was given his own fleshed out story and moves.

IMO , i think that NRS didnt think this through enough . Either they did and they found a way to make the story still work or work with others . Or they werent going to make another MK

Yeah I'm interested to see the next story, because everyone basically is dead. I would much rather they all came back then to have new people

We can expect all of the original characters to come back, because that's what always happens.

Anyone who thinks NRS is going to walk away from all of their old characters is kidding themselves. This game is going to be immensely popular because it's a reboot with all of the characters people love and none of the ones people don't give two ****s about, namely the ones from the 3D games.

Why would they then go and destroy a sure blockbuster sequel by removing most of the old cast from the game? Street Fighter did that, and it didn't work out too well for them. I think it would go even worse for MK.

Unless, of course, you seriously think SUB-ZERO, perhaps THE most identifiable MK character after Scorpion, is going to stay dead.

Do you?

Scorpion: Hey Ermac, do you want to go kick Quan Chi's ass?

Ermac: We agree with your proposal.

Setup for MK10, right there. They kill him, Ermac helps free everyone's souls. The end. Put that on a disc and sell it.

Oddly enough... I like this idea.
Seeing Scorpion and Ermac work together has been something I would like to see from this series for a while.
Well... when I'm not playing tag team mode with them :P

I like Ermac to stay badguy, as he's much to powerful to be a goodguy, he should stay the ultimate challenge for the goodguys, if he joins them its much too easy for them to beat the remaining badguys...

Also Kenshi is also good and telekinetic, we don't need two telekinetic characters, especially not two good telekinetic characters.

I don't think that any of the people who you guys think are "dead" actually died. Well, except for Liu, Kitana, and Kung Lao. I think they were just severely wounded. Hell, Liu might still be alive. At the end Raiden said "We must tend to the wounded.." and teleported off with Liu's dead body.
