smoke colored reptile?

just got to the secret battle with reptile..but instead of him being green he looked like smoke and was grey? is this a glitch?

Oddly enough I had a similar glitch. I fought Hidden Noob with my Classic Reptile, and he came out as Classic Reptile with the name Noob (and moves). I tried it again, worked the same way. Buggy or a secret?:gr_jest:
