Should Hawkgirls fly ability have a recharge?

So I recently started playing Hawkgirl and I love her as she is great against characters like Aquaman and Solomon Grundy. I love her fly ability but playing online against good players even I feel like this ability is pretty cheap. I mean unless the character you are fighting against has good anti air, its pretty much a get out of jail free card you can use the entire match. Fly only lasts for so long but after you drop you can instantly jump in the air and start it again. From the air you can just air mace your opponent to death. I played online against an Aquaman and he started busting out the usual rape combos... then I hopped in the air and started zoning him with the air mace... I could tell he was completely flustered because he had no idea what to do.

I am the kind of player that believes a win is a win and I will zone if I have to but even I felt bad doing this since the ability has no recharge after use.

Thoughts?

It can be frustrating and very confusing to deal with and I agree that it should have more of a cool-down time. My main is Grundy so I know how that matchup can be.

No, she's ment to be a gay character that plays on your ability to have patience.

If she can't do that, then you need to buff her combo potential.

The reason her combos are complete ass when it comes to damage, is because of her annoying gameplay style.

Hawkgirl is meant to frustrate her opponents with her aerial attacks and tricky attacks. The only way to get some good damaging combos is by keeping them in the corner. Although I'm proficient at destroy most of my opponent at any range depending what character they use.

P.S.
I bet the reason someone posted this, is because of me, right??

Did you even read the first post? Natedogga was destroying someone else with hawkgirl and was wondering if it was "a bit OP"

Just so you guys know.

From my experience the following characters have the most trouble with Hawkgirl

1.) Bane
2.) Solomon Grundy
3.) Flash
4.) Killer Frost
5.) Aquaman

everyone else IMO has the tools to make flying the entire time a tough path to take. those 5 characters have a REALLY tough time hitting her out of the sky. They have to play a million times more patient and take a lot of chip than the rest of the cast.

Yeah. Sorry I didn't read it thoroughly, but my answer is no. Her combos are somewhat not quite damaging (average between 21-31% at most without using any meter) and her juggles are limited.

What is hawk girls power anyway? Never seen it used online and never tried it myself. I admit she is rather annoying with her flight and godlike wakeup attacks but I don't see it often enough to go all out nerf war on her.

It allows you to stay in the air with full movement for like 10 seconds but once it ends and you fall to the ground you can just jump and start it again. There is no recharge or cool down between uses

oh so just presses circle (ps3) and goes into flight mode. I always assumed it was just a part of her jump mechanics. Well then, it does seem rather silly, its like giving The Flash no recharge on him speeding up. But omg that would be sooooo cool, make it happen NR XD

Here is a picture of me with my response to that:
