At approximately 6:00pm CST on Thursday, January 27, trmk.org will entirely be offline for scheduled hardware maintenance. The procedure is scheduled for 2 hours; however, if all goes well, we'll be back well before that time.
At 4:30pm CST, the message forums will be locked down in order to preserve data integrity when the message forums are transfered to the new server.
This scheduled maintenance has been a long time coming. We will be replacing our server that has been in service for approximately 3 years. She's been quite the pain recently as evident from our recent extended outages and it's just time to upgrade. This time around we will have a level of data redundancy with RAID 5 and a failsafe POWER plan that will minimize downtime due to power failure at the co-location facility.
If anyone is interested in the specs of the current server and the new server, let me know and I'll post them here.
