Sektor/Cyrax

I see a lot of people use Cyrax, but Sektor isnt that popular... Is Sektor not that good of a character,or is Cyrax a fan favourite of a lot of people? I would like to know the difference between them (gameplay-wise).

difference between them gameplay wise is they have different special moves and combo's... ergo.. they are different...i think cyraxs are better move set IMO.. it's like asking what's different gameplay wise in raiden and baraka.... they have different moves!!!!!

I havnt played Sektor yet just seen videos.
But Cyrax for me just seems more versatile than Sektor
He has plenty of special moves
His net work perfectly with his teleport and bombs.
You can also get in a free X-ray.
He can get around very well. Has fast and strong attacks.
Has alot of possible combos.
A good close range melee fighter.Sektor seems more like a pressure type character.
His stage fatality and babality is very easy to do.
Also he's an awesome character!

I like playing as Cyrax more then Sector but when playing against these two as AI oppenents I feel Sector is much more difficult to beat.

I rarely see anyone use Cyrax or Sektor. People always play as Ermac, Smoke, and OF COURSE Scorpion like 75% of the time. I main Cyrax because I always have since MK3.

This comment is kind of obvious, but you guys really need to setup a match to see who is the superior robot kombatant, and post the video of that fight on Youtube

I personally prefer, gameplay wise Sektor, storyline wise Cyrax. Sektor storyline is kind of boring, just another generic villain, while Cyrax has an interesting moral conflict going on. But as the gameplay in itself, Sektor is more fun to use, Cyrax is a bit stale and slow.

Cyrax is faster and has better moves, and he has a disabler move (his net) and that is a great advantage.

Sektor was better in MK3, his uppercut combos were sick because of his speed. I think he's actually been nerfed over the years, it seems every time he appears in a game now he's a little bit less powerful or slower than he used to be. He's still one of my main go to guys, when I did the robot tag team ladder to get the achievement, I barely tagged out to Cyrax the whole time.

Speaking of, for some reason human Sektor in this game kind of weirded me out. I guess it's because Cyrax had the partial-human alternate costume before but human Sektor just seemed wrong to me.
