How do you fight Reptile in Mortal Kombat Revision 5.0 (T-Unit)

I've played 2 player games until battle 40 when the stuff starts flying across the moon in the pit stage...

Then when I continue with 1 player and fight CPU and go back to the pit stage....the stuff stops flying.

Does Reptile have to give clues before you can fight him???

If so, how do you make Reptile appear and give clues

All you need to do to fight Reptile is when you are on the pit and stuff is flying across the moon. You need to get a Double Flawless Victory and Fatality all without EVER using BLOCK. (Well, I don't remember if the Fatality is absolutely necessary, but real players always do a fatality. ;)

You can only fight Reptile when playing against the computer. Anyway, you should see something fly by the moon about every sixth time you fight at the Pit (even in one player mode). What I usually do is just play through three full one player games, and as long as you lose at least one time before the last endurance match on each game (that'll make sure you see the Pit at least twice per game), you should draw silhouettes in front of the moon on your third game.

To make it easier, do what I said above, but on your third game, keep losing on one of the easier matches until you draw the Pit the second time. That'll make it easier to get the double-flawless and fight Reptile. Of course, I only suggest that because I assume you're using MAME or something like that. If you're actually playing the thing in an arcade, I wouldn't suggest wasting all your change to do that.

You do need to finish with a fatality to get it to work, but I've heard that you can actually use block in version 5.0 (though I've never tried this, I always forego using block anyway to be safe).

Yes, both of which I covered in my post (as did Malitor). Originally you also had to avoid pressing block at all, but like I said, I've heard that they changed that for version 5.0 (though I've never tested that).

I've never actually had the chance to fight Reptile in MK1, so this might seem like a pretty obvious question... but was it common that the end title would say "Reptile" while the health meter says "Scorpion" ?

If I remember correctly as well, I thought that Raiden's name was Rayden in MK1. Maybe they changed it for the later versions and MAME though.

Nah, it was always "Raiden" in the arcade. It was only "Rayden" on the home consoles.

yes the meter always says Scorpion. Like Jade doesn't have a name in MK2 and neither does Akuma in ST
