Question about patch for MKII In Arcade Treasures 2 (PC)

So I downloaded the patch to fix the whole "not able to fight Smoke due to the start button pausing the game" issue, but when I try to apply the patch it tells me the file it's looking for is not found and no update will be done. Am I doing something wrong here?
 
Sektor69, where did you get the fix from? I wasn't aware they fixed this issue finally. I can give the fix a try, I'm assuming the patch is either looking in the wrong place or you have a version it doesn't expect to find.

The patch was up on the Midway Arcade site back when MAT for PC was being sold there to download. I guess it's gone now that WB owns pretty much all the properties that were included. I did some interweb searching and actually found it linked to an old TRMK news post.

It's obviously not finding the right files to update, but nowhere I've looked mentions any special instructions, just "click and everything will be fixed". Is there even a way to find out what version of MAT you have installed?
 
Yeah, I do mean MAT Deluxe Edition, my bad on that. I'm currently running Vista now (just upgraded, which is why I finally got around to reinstalling this and my MAME stuff), but the patch wasn't working when I was under XP either.

As far as running the patch in itself, the program seems to run fine enough, it just isn't finding the file it's looking to update.
 
Could you please send me the fight smoke patch. I cant get off of midways web site. I have been looking for this patch for a long time. Im kinda ocd when it comes to games and them having all the patches.
