Premium Editions and Australia

Lol. I agree. But, then again, any hardware warranty is pretty much BS, isn't it?

Here in the US, the modchips themselves aren't illegal, only the act of actual game piracy. If you make one or two backups, just in case some freak accident happens (usually to me) that results in a ruined game disc (or you're an idiot and don't take care of them), at least you can have a backup. Any more than two copies, however, is considered software piracy.

That's why I included the links for the flip-top case and software. The same piracy laws apply to items like those, where it is only illegal if you are using it for illegal practices.

Then again, that's like selling the Dell guy a trunk full of pot and telling him not to smoke it because it's illegal. :D

I'm not sure if you're talking about the deadly "Disc Read Error" but I was able to fix my own without having to bother with sending my PS2 off to Sony. I did that once and it took weeks to come back so I resorted to this. As expected, it voids your warranty but it fixed what ailed me.

Thanks for the link, dude. I read up on that issue and no, I never had that problem, ever. And it wasn't what i was referring to, that was something else entirely I think. Good that you remedied your console with that guide. No system is infallable, not a one. And genuine replacement parts can very expensive. Plus the fact that if the warranty work itself is not done by Sony [in the ps2 case], then they don't want to know about your problems. Which is fair enough. Remember the very frist 1020 series of PSX? They had severe overheating problems due to the heatsink and power supply being right next to the laser assembly. Or if memory serves, something like that. But the point I'm trying to make here is that alot of systems crashed after only a few hours of serious and continuous gameplay. The system got hot and so did the laser, Which equals bad news. Then 3rd party compabies made available these fans that attached to the outer case to remedy the heat problem. The rest is history. The later model systems had the laser assembly moved around to avoid any heating up issuse. But I recall a few of my buddies couldn't get Sony to fix or even do anything. So yeah, fukem!

YEP.

I read an article a few years back that this guy in Australia [i think] got busted bigtime for selling burns or copies. And one thing I distinctly recall is the fact that he had at the time of getting busted, over 300 copies of a Tekken game in his position. Now, no individual needs that many backups of one game, right? Now here's the funny part. The Feds didn't worry about that, they were more worried about the fact that he was importing them and selling them. They actually let the 300 copy issue slide. What the hell? Although, please don't quote me, Because my memory is quite shocking at times. But it was an unusual case.

Nicely put, dude. Lol.

Yeah, the super crockable. I think something was said about clocks and times and rubbish to do with Konquest, but at the end of the day, nada.
Super Crockable! LMAO! Nice. But all too true. I was so sick of hearing about this crap, that I wanted to strangle certain individuals. Adding to your short list, I had also heard that Onaga was unlockable in the Krypt. And so was Motaro, Rain and Reiko, as super unlockables. Wtf?

Yes, well at least this time we will only be told Tremor and Chameleon if their not actually already in there. In fact, maybe Nimbus Terrafaux rumours will re-surface because having so many return leaves people without much to play with. I still have no word on a Aus prem edition, anyone?
