Post Reporting Option

Now you can alert moderators and admins of a bad post by our new Post Reporting System. You will also be able to see the feedback received back from the moderator/admin on the actions they took for the offensive post.

On the upper right hand corner of a post you will see a ! mark icon. Through this icon you can report a post for any various reasons. Flaming, spam, etc. Moderators will be informed of the problems via email and from notices we see here on the forums.

Awesome how you mods and Admins are updating this site! But a quick question: Do you know who reports the post? Because people can spam up by repetedly reporting the post.

You shouldn't be able to report the same post over and over. I disabled that. But we can see everything about who reports a post. It keeps track of everything.

And this is the Report Posts 2 mod. Really slick what it can do.

Yeah, It can also post the reports into a forum.
Auto Ban
Lets moderators Warn users too, and can auto ban at a certain warning level.

Really nice mod. Not as nice as the karma mod though.

One question from me. Can we have another icon implemented where we think a mod should add some Karma or kudos to the post? I know we can always pm one, but the same could have been said about bad posts.

Or could we just use this thing and explain that we're reporting it for "good" reasons?

I am thinking this already... it would be the same icon just a different reason you'd select. Reporting is not always have to be a bad thing. Actually I think it's a valid thing, so I'll go add that now. Consider that a feature.

Well, this is pretty cool. I had to select a post of mine to make sure I wouldn't accidentally report someone who didn't deserve it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it looks, and how easy. Heh...total asskissing at its worst
