Please help - Online Multip;ayer Not Working

Hi I have the MK: Komplete Edition for PS3 and have not been able to play online at all.

Here is what happens if I click online:

It either says connecting and then goes says "Network connection to your system has been lost"

Sometimes it stays on the connection to lobby screen and just keeps loading but never connects, what can I do to fix this?

Does the game still work online?
 
Dunno I aint played it in ages. Would not be surprised if it went down soon though due to gamespy dying.
 
Do you really think it's down completely? I haven't heard anything about it's online closing, the reason I got the game was to play online.

No I don't think its down, but it will be eventually. The online is ass on the game and does stuff like this all the time.
