Mean f all, South Africa is a semi first world country. It is coming pal. As I mentioned I know the owners personally and it is no two bit operation and they mostly specialise in retail. Prices also only appear around 2-3 weeks of the game getting released.

They got confirmation from Ster Kinekor (Distributors). They only put games on their pre order list once "they" have received official confirmation.

http://www.primedia.co.za/our_businesses/companies/sk_dist.htm , as well as various other websites, Ster Kinekor is in the film/cinema business. I never saw anything related to the gaming industry/distribution of video games.

Why would they have any inside information on this at all?

Yes.

I also got confirmation about GTA 4 PC 4 months before it was even announced way back in 2008 I think and SF4 AE.

BT Games confirming MK9 on PC is as good as Ed Boon confirming it for me.
 
Then it sounds like WB is just delaying the announcement to give Injustice it's time to shine. I would think within the next 3 weeks we should get an official announcement.
 
Well, MK9 for PC has nothing to do with Injustice for consoles. The console maniacs have played MK for the past 2 years, so they are hungry for something new. No reason for them to divert their attention from Injustice.
 
The banner is definitely posted by a fan, since it's not hosted on the Steam servers, but on a separate imageboard server.

Been 5 days since the last update on the app, and almost 3 days with 0 people playtesting, hopefully that's gonna change in a couple of hours. I hope they haven't decided to ditch the project...

Was it by any chance you who started the MK9 PC petition and/or instigated the big push for everyone to sign it on most of the mainstream gaming forums in 2011?
 
Not really, no, but I did sign the petition and applauded the effort in my mind. The person you're mentioning might have been one of the reasons we can even expect to see our beloved game on the PC.

He was Polish if I remember correctly(We met on guru3d in 2011 IIRC to plan a course of action to get noticed by WB/Boon), he and I put it on as many forums as we could and hounded Ed Boon on twitter.
Ed Boon actually responded to my "MK9 on PC Now", to which he replied "NO!" :D

Must agree, this guy never gave up and by the looks of it never gave up, where as I stopped around 3 months after the console release.

Edit: Oh snap, he still follows me on twitter. https://twitter.com/SagarSe7en . He is from Kenya. Remember he told me that we are going to change the world with this...LMFAO...crazy mofo.

Sent him a tweet, want to gift him a copy.

On the other hand, no activity whatsoever on the playtesting front and no new updates on the Steam app... yet.

I hope a lot of people will buy this so WB / NRS stops this nonsense of not porting their games and we can have Injustice on PC too. All I know is that MK9 will be a day one purchase or a pre-order for me, I'm simply super excited to play a new MK game. Hell, it's been 15 years since MK4, the last episode that had a PC port. :D

How did you obtain that info btw, Denis? The BT website still says Jun 2013 for a release. Also, how did you contact BT Games? I tried emailing them a few days ago, and my mail got bounced back ( wasn't successfully delivered ).
 
I managed to reach the marketing representative Karl. The Orders Manager's one did not work for me either. I think they will update the expected date on the site soon. But that "may" in the reply disappoints me. I'd rather prefer "will" or "must" if you know what I mean :)
 
Well, if the game DOES exist, it should be released at a certain point. Those endless delays are really disappointing though.

It's already in playtesting and they wait with the release till September? Strange but if it's true then I expect a really-really good, graphically highly updated PC port with perfect multiplayer, everything else would be a letdown after so much delay.
