The US has killed Al Qaeda's leader. That's like killing Obama; it would only cause retaliation. Fighting solves problems, true, but only temporarily. Defeating another nation in war creates resentment in the defeated and causes them to hate the winners. It always causes more issues in the long run. Look at Germany. They lost WWI and then their economy collapsed until the point where they would believe a mad man who claimed he could solve their problems.
Al Qaeda has a reason to attack America now, and will likely gain new members. I quarantee you we will see some sort of attack or planned attack in the next 12 months because of this.
True, Osama was an evil man and deserved to die, but his death will lead to more problems. The only thing I'm glad about is that this didn't happen earlier like in 2003; it would have been much worse then because Al Qaeda had more supporters then.
The other thing that irritates me is that the US killed Osama and then the news shows people partying and rejoicing over his death. Really? That is going to PO anybody who supported Osama, which leads me to believe a retaliation is coming.
I'm not defending Osama, on the contrary, but I see more problems than solutions coming from this.
