Online Connection/Game Session No Longer Available Discussion

hey i've just downloaded the latest update. It's totally screwed up the online experience.

Because now I can't log on, It's gone back to the old options: purchase a new kombat kode, redeem Mk code or the 2 day trial.

I tried to redeem my kode(the one i got with the game) but it says it's no longer valid.

WTF!
 
NRS WTF! Out of 2 hours tonight, I played a total of only 10 matches because all the other ones kept desynchronizing!

I can't express how pissed off I am at this. Why did I give you my money for this crap.

Fix it!

Until you do, I will gladly give my business to other games that actually work and are worth my well earned money.
 
Ever since updating to 1.02, I can't connect to a single lobby, let alone a match ... I keep getting the 'connection lost' message while still connected perfectly to PSN ... I even play other games without any issue ... Anyone else having this problem?
 
At least my situation hasn't changed by any recent patches, I still can't fight online at all, nb. I feel I have to point this out everytime I mention this, but no I don't ave dial-up, I haven't had a dial up internet connection for more than 10 years.

Mortal Kombat is a really fun fighter, really fun, it's a fantastic game, but they royally screwed up with the online and in time, if they don't fix it, it's all MK 2011 will be remembered for.

There are those lucky people who for some reason seem to have no problem at all, but there are also a ton of people who at the moment the game is unplayable online.
 
okay is anyone else getting my problem.

I took a break from MK to finish some other games.

I was online about a fortnight ago and everything was fine, then i installed a new update and ever since then i have not been able to get online. All i have are the original options available.
Redeem Code, Purchase, free 2 day trial.
I try to redeem but my redeem code is no longer working. It says it's no longer valid, or incorrect. I tried using a mates i got the same problem.
I tried to purchase it says content is not available.
I'm curious if this has anything to do with NRS cracking down on Australian players. I have every right to own and enjoy this game i am over 18, and i have seen fatalities over a billion times and never once attempted to do one myself.

I've had a lot of fun with online in the past and i would hate to miss out.
 
There are 2 main problems with this patch.
1. I've been getting desynchronized in alot of matches. Probably 3 out of 10 matches I play 1 on 1.
2. I just started King of the Hill so I don't know if this is normal or not, but it seems like everytime a player leaves, the screen freezes. And not only does it freeze, but most people drop by this. If I'm the host by next game, it won't let me push start and I would have to back out. This is getting really irritating and they should fix this soon.
 
Did they fix the connection problem? I played for a good hour last might with 0 desynchronizations. All fights lag free and I was having a blast.

The klassic costume only worked sometimes, but indidnt care at all.

I hope it stays this way.

hello all

ive been playing online recently and have encountered a few problems wondered if anyone had any quick fix or whether it will be fixed in the future by the MK staff

i can play player matches with no problems whatsoever and very little lagg (only crashed ps3 / dissconected 2 times ) vs friends or vs random players but heres my problems

1st and most enoying is that every time i play king of the hill and win my match every player in the lobby will vanish shortly followed by this game session is no longer availible
how in the hell am i suppose to win 10 games in a row when it wont let me play after winning 1 match ? any idea how to fix this ? or will MK staff be fixing this ? before the exp packs come out

2nd problem
ranked matches take 10 mins to find a game and when i do find 1 its a laggy spammy rage quitter

i have given up on ranked altogether now but would like to play ranked matches but 10 mins is way to long to wait for a 2 min match
most of the trophies are in ranked matches
so has anyone got a quick fix for this ? or know if the MK staff have any knowledge this is happening and are going to fix this

i guess until then i be in player battles

if anyone has any info or quick fixes let me know and thanks

For me i got 3 "disconnect" messages before the games started in a row, and then right after that one my Xbox for before the next match started. This seems to be the only game my xbox freezes with. Its a lot less common when im in lobbies but woth ranked and player matches, its horrible.
 
Session No Longer Available

Okay, so i was trying to play on ps3 with my cousin since he just got the game. And i kept trying to send him invites, but when he would accept he was getting a "game session no longer available" message. So he tried inviting me, same message. So i figured that we'd just join a room and try there. And every time I tried to challenge him it just said "unavailable" has anyone else been getting this message? Or is it just me?

Yeah but the weird thing was, i was able to challenge everyone else in the room. as soon as i got in somebody challenged me. I beat him, and then tried to challenge my cousin, and nothing. we tried for like 10 minutes and then i just finally gave up on trying.

I got the new update yesterday, and i can't play online now... It's back to the redeem code/purchase code/free 2 days trial screen.
The thing is i can't activate my code cuz i get the "this service is not available in your country region" message.
Any1 else has this issue?

This happened to me twice. Very irritating to be in front of a screen where you can't do a thing.
 
I'm glad that i'm not the only one having this problem. This is frustrating though. They really need to fix this problem before people start abandoning the game.
 
i get maybe 2 desynchs a hour when i play online. tahts so long as i dont do something to screw it up.

i dont do koth or ranked tho, so maybe those are the problem areas.
 
I don't know about you but I've been having a different kind of "lag" since the patch. I honestly don't lag that much at all, I can't say I have the same problem you guys do. But I'm very interested in seeing whether or not this happens to anyone else:

Before the patch, when the game lagged it would typically pause for a second or so intermittently. Which sucked because it would always coincidentally happen right in the middle of a popup combo.

Now it rarely does that. Instead, it seems to frameskip and literally puts the gameplay into slow motion (or slower motion, anyhow). In one of the matches I got on vid I fight against a Sektor who did the same combo twice, one took about 5 seconds and the other took nearly twice as long. Has anybody else experienced this frameskippy-slowdown?
 
ok people im from europe and i bough the klassic pack 2 or 3 days ago cant remember ( bough it on launch ) till i bough the pack i didnt had any problems with online, sometimes i had somo laggy matches but no big deal after i bough the klassic pack i cant play online, every time i invite / get invited when im selecting my charater a message appears saying "game section no longer available " and some times it says that lost connection or some shit like that, i tough it was a problem with my connection so i tried to play uncharted 2 online and it was fine, so i knew the problem was from MK i had unninstaled the game and i still cant play online, i bough the game new i hav my kode so wtf is wrong.
