Noob Saibot has a SECRET move!

Hey guys, this is Fox, the guy who found the secret attack and recorded it on gamefaqs ((Been a lurker on here if you can't tell)). And I just want to say that this is indeed no fake or glitch in the system. It's a hidden move I posted about in gamefaqs but didn't catch it on video until recently. Still I don't know the exact input so perhaps you can help me find it.

- I've determined that this has to be a just-frame input within the assassinate combo: 2,1,2
- The input is either a direction and 1 specifically after the 1 input in the assassinate combo.
- Or the input is qcf+3 during the 1 input in that combo.
- You can follow through and complete the final strike of the 2,1,2 string even when the shadow explodes ((The animation for this is fluid, not glitchy or unnatural [Further note: The end of the string is not shown in this video]))
- Remember I said it is suspicion to be a Just-Frame input, meaning window to input the command on this attack is very strict.

Thanks TC for posting my video here! I hope this inspires people to never be satisfied with Ed Boon's move list and to really try to dissect every corner of this game's mystery. I also hope we can nail the input for this move so that we can further strengthen Noob's mid screen game!

Is the hidden move the shadow that takes down Raiden? If it is then thats not secret as I've been doing that move all the time.
Down Forward A or X

You're not paying attention. Furthermore, unlike the shadow/saibot charge, this move does not stop the chain. The chain can end with the final 2 in the 2,1,2 assassinate combo. The reason I did not end it in that way in this video was because I was trying to just recreate that exact attack, not the entire chain.

Probably a glitch.

It's not a glitch. This is pretty fine tuned and looks appropriate for the character. You see the way noob moves his hand to activate the explosion. It's an intended move.

So is this legit or not?

It's a real attack, It's just very hard to pull off. So this along with my lack of knowledge of the actual input makes it highly unlikely to happen.

I'll try see what I can find myself in game, but if it's a frame specific entry, could take a while for _anyone_ to find exactly.

EDIT: Freezing the video from YT, Noob's clone (Dash) appears ABOVE his head, vertically? It shouldn't appear there...
The new attack seems to start with a basic FP, then the Dash Clone, which disappears into the green cloud... this is weird.

I think its a glicth because if Noob has a secret move it would be black or purple energy not green but is still weird and cool, ill try it out.

Sorry if didn't put credit for the video, I just quoted the original thread without reference, hope you aren't angry :p!

I think, as you can read from Fox's message, that this is totally legit. Noob it's not the only pg that has secret moves, ex..

Mileena:
If you use her B2 stab, and then do a Leaping Neckbite before the sai knife disappears from the opponent, the move will change and deal extra damage.

Jax:
His throw, which does only 8%, can be prolonged pressing (AFTER 1+3) 1+4, 2+3, and 2+4. Proof here at 02:07..

If you have more we could create a topic with all this info..

I still don't think that's the full version of the throw, because in some video I saw him throw you like a bowling bowl toss at the end to the other side of the screen.

Looks like a normal shadow clone for me. If u execute it the second ur enemie is in hight of ur (and in front of) head, it looks like a superman.

About jaxes throw its missing 1,2,3,4 although I see why that and 2,4 arnt on the moves list those hits do zero damage

Wow seeing this make me want to go in and start studying my main's carefully. Already knew about Mileena (main) but Noob's looks sick!

It's just looks like his projectile with a different particle effect. Clearly an older build of the game, or an unremoved visual that occurs in a glitch.

SHIT. I was just playing as noob in ladder and I've been trying to pull this secret move off. After giving up and just playing as I normally would. I performed it on mileena. But it wasn't with his 212 combo. It was with his b+1214 combo. The first hit specifically its got to be a trick with his shadow and when his shadow comes out to make a punch. I don't remember the whole thing very well but I think it had something to do with pressing 1 again after the first hit.

It just happened so fast

Caught it again, this time he ((The AI this time)) performed it as a combo breaker. It actually did damage to my friend.
And no, it wasn't done against Raiden.

combo breaker was the first hting i noticed this is pretty wierd tho

So what does it actually do apart from be blue?

This move's properties have been all over the place. It does more damage then shadow charge and I've done it in the middle of strings without interrupting the combo:

2,1,2 with this move turns into 2,1>shadow explosion,2 somehow

And based on yesterday, it can also be used as a combo breaker while providing damage at the same time.
