No MK Release in Germany

now its official that the game wont be released in germany (like australia) because of its violent content... the USK refused an age rating...

but in contrast to australia the game can be legaly bought in videogame shops and ordered via internet... i think that the game will get soon on the index after its release and probably get a ban from the court... so to all people which are living in germany: buy the game after its release before you have to order from online shops or search it somewhere else on the black market...

Im glad i live in Holland with these things, at the same time we in Holland cant rent games anymore cause its forbidden by some kind of law.
I know there are Gamestops in Germany, ive been there a couple of times, and think that its stil legal over there..

Aaah well. every counrty has something i guess ghehe
 
ok i´ve just saw it... so the guy from sony did a false announcement...

this game wont get a rating in my opinion... and if they will release a cut version... dont know what they want to censor... the x-ray and fatalities?

I pre-order my games ALWAYS from our austria neighboors ;) Games cost less money and are always uncensored. Germany not get any cents from me when it comes to video games.

Maybe like in Shaolin Monks, were the screens turns black before u doing a finisher lol.
 
yeah... the german shaolin monks version sucks a lot... you hear them screaming but the screen is black... intro is censored... fatalities in 2player game are turned off and so on... even the german language is horrible... i dont know who buys such games... people which dont know that theres an uncensored version or just dont care...
 
I knew it would come. That's why I went to Gamestop and made a preorder. It will be an international Pegi18 version of this game. The guy who works there told me that he doubts a German release as well. I'll get my MK in april

I can imagine, that they won't release it here...so:
what can I do? What would you propose me to do?
Until now, I always bought my games in normal shops or Internet...What do you mean with gamestop etc.? I don't know so much about it, and where the next one could be...

how can I preorder without complications?

wow I never knew this. That really does suck cause then there no enjoyment in the game. Proud to be an american with unscensored video games =]

try to find a place or internet site where u can import it from austria thats what i will do too
 
i would simply buy it when it gets released (pre-ordered it in a game shop here a few subway stations away)... this german censorship is the biggest s*it you can imagine... nearly every adult movie or game is cut... you have to pay attention when you buy something... and they dont even realize that even if a game/movie/book/whatever gets banned here you can get it from the internet without problems (because there are no controls at the border anymore... thats the only positive thing what the EU has)
 
yeah it really sucks... but however... german law and its representants are too stupid and too bourgeois to find a way to ban everything... the bans are more like advertisement... you can get the games via online shops without problems... and they cant punish you for that... last year i bought condemned 1+2 in warsaw... both games are banned by court here but i have the right to own it although sale and other things are forbidden here... so they cant do anything...

they are also so stupid and ban websites... this has NO SENSE because you can access these site without problems... dont know if this will persist because germany is on place 10 of the police states in the world...

our politicians are not capable to manage the country but occupy oneself with problems that are not necessary...
i think i leave this country soon and travel back to my homecountry poland...

MK1 and MK3 are banned too... yeah germany has the biggest censorship ever in democratic countries...

under "beschlagnahmt" you have the completely banned things by court (sale and distribution is strictly banned on pain of penalities)

§§ 86a,90a,130,130a StGB lists things that are banned because of swastikas, incitement of the people and guidance to criminal acts

§ 131 StGB list things that are banned because of cruel and inhuman violence against humans and manlike beings

§§ 184 a,b (III),c StGB list things banned because of pornography (sadomasochism, beastiality and child porn)

§§ 185,187 StGB list things that are banned because of aspersion

just go on "Computerspiele" on §131... there you will find MK1-3...

there are alo the file numbers listed about the criminal case... on the site you have also some decisions ( "beschlüsse") from court why these things were banned... MK 1-3 are also there....

but the site is not up to date anymore... some things like games are up to date but some are not... some listings are from last year...

PS: there are even some music CD´s we have made... we made some sort of "splatter-rap" compared to ICP or simken heights... about 10 CD´s are banned by court and i have also apperared in court because of that... i was punished because of cruel violence and other things... they gave me a ticket of leave (probationer) so they didnt put me in jail... the SEK (something like the american SWAT team) did a house search two times and they confiscated my computer and a lot of other things like music CD´s... WELCOME TO GERMANY! punished because of music which is normal in other countries...
