does anyone know if you can get the center peice for that whole nexus thing that onaga wants in the end of the major part of the story. if u cant get it can u at least see it or know what it is?
 
Uh...are you talking about the thing that he says he needs to bind the realms? If so, that's Quan Chi's medallion, which he originally got from Shinnok. However, MKSM overwrote that to where he got it when Kahn Died.
 
It's really the same difference, there's no need to get technical about it. I don't think they've used just one of those words exclusively in the games, either.

No my friend, you do not get to collect Quan Chi's amulet for your inventory in the game. However in the Netherealm there is a mission where you get to see what the amulet looks like at least. Talk to Shinnok and he tells you to find him the amulet, eventually in the city you will find a fake of it. When you give it to him he senses that it is different however, but he still accepts and compensates you.
