As of 3 AM EST Fri, March 18th, IGN has new fatality video compilation....except that its just the four fatalities given to us in the demo...yea i kno disappointing right?

http://www.ign.com/

(couldn't find dedicated video link but for atleast until tomorrow afternoon this should be on their main page).

Well that's pretty pointless for IGN to do. Unless they were doing it just to get some quick views, so that their ad revenue could go up...

*Holds back 3 page rant about IGN.*

This.. doesn't surprise me. In fairness, I suppose there are people who haven't seen them and might stop and take a look but if they were seriously interested in the game, they probably would have seen them already. Seems more like something that would be on Youtube with the title "Look what I did this weekend" but I digress as I do unfortunately have an anti-IGN bias coloring my opinions.. Anyway, let's see what else they've got "Off the top of his head, Jack DeVries lists his top 10 favorite Mortal Kombat fatalities of all time." INTRIGUING!

Don't be such elitists!

I think it's nice to see several of the game's fatalities in a nice, clear, professionally captured direct feed video.

And such top billing will drive more interest in the game, which will hopefully lead to more sales, which will lead to more and better DLC and a better sequel!

No, I don't work for IGN. But come on, don't forget that the few of us here are the ones that really keep up with the game. This video may be the first and/or best look a lot of people have had at the fatalities. I bet you have a mild interest in lots of games you don't follow as closely as MK and may enjoy a video that the hardcore fans of that game may scoff at.

Any publicity is good publicity, so get off your high horses.

Wow, butthurt much?

Nobody's acting like an elitist, and nobody's on a high horse. The fact that IGN is just now putting up this video is pointless because of two reasons:

1) There were tons of videos on the net (And even on IGN) that shows not only those fatalities, but the other fatalities that have been revealed. And they were also in high quality.

2) Those four fatalities were some of the very first fatalities shown for the game. And I'm talking about way back in Summer 2010 when E3 was still going on.

Pointless? Kind of, but it might intrigue some people who haven't paid much attention to the game so far. Either way it does no harm and as Cyndrix said any publicity can only be a good thing really!
