Name the characters you hated pre-MK9 but love them now.

Shang Tsung (didn't hate him, but I didn't love him)
Quan Chi (same as Tsung)
Sektor (couldn't stand him in MK3)
Kung Lao (had no preference)
 
Stryker, Sektor, Cyrax. I like them all now, ESPECIALLY Stryker. He's a MFBAMF in this game. I used to like Smoke but now I hate him. I used to like Mileena a lot but now I hate her.
 
Raiden - He seems much more important and wise in this game. Never hated him though

Stryker - Love him now!

Sheeva - She was always meh to me, but now I just absolutely love that four armed sex bomb :laugh:
 
Kabal - for some reason I just really hated him prior to MK9. Same with Stryker, except I still dislike him, just not nearly as much.
 
Lui Kang , his voice was so annoying in the videos and gameplay trailers . And it still is , but i love him lol , his combos are easy

And I was looking forward to Sheeva and Stryker , but Stryker is too slow for me and Sheeva is just HORRIBLE
 
I never really paid any attention to Stryker before this game, but with the overhaul they gave him, I figured I'd check him out. He's so much fun to play as. He's not my best character, but I enjoy mixing it up with him from time to time.

Kabal is one I never really cared for before hand. He seemed a little meh, but he's now one of my top fighters. He's a lot of fun, he's got some good combos and special, and his look is pretty cool.

Sheeva and Baraka are two disappointments for me. I've never liked Sheeva in anyway and I feel the same now. Baraka's always had some good story and gameplay potential but I don't feel like they capitalized on either of those at all.
 
Stryker and Quan Chi.

I had always felt Stryker was just some out of place d-bag, now he's pretty bad ass.

And Quan Chi I just never liked...but now I think he's pretty cool.
 
Kano - Just never really liked him outside the movie.

Kabal - So badass this game.

Kitana - So good in this game.

Nightwolf - Was HBIC in the storymode and is incredibly powerful
 
Robot Smoke and Sektor were noobs' favorites in UMK3. I remember all those shit players that kept spamming the teleport uppercut and homing missile/hook hoping I was dumb enough not to block lol. Those were hilarious matches. I loved trolling them.

Not that I really like Sektor now but Smoke is cool in this game.

Hmm.. let's see what else. Oh yeah I used to hate Scorpion and Sub-Zero and... still do. They're like the Ryu and Ken of Mortal Kombat. (except they hate each other)
 
Kano and Sheeva. Like the way both of them were portrayed in story mode and actually like the way both of them play. Call me crazy.
