Mortal Kombat Kommemorative

I think Midway should release a hard-cover book that kommemorates the mythology of the Mortal Kombat Franchise from Mortal Kombat One to Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Now that a definitive ending has finally been drawn to the original storyline; we finally posses a complete story arc. As such, what better time than now to kommemerate the rich mythology that is Mortal Kombat? And what better way than a kollectable and canonized explanation of its storyline in all its kompleteness? The fallowing is what I have in mind. It appeals greatly to me, and I would buy it hands down, but I am wondering what the rest of the fan base thinks.

1: The pages would be thick and sturdy and in full color.
2: Every Bio Card and Ending Plate from Mortal Kombat One to Mortal Kombat Armageddon would be included.
3: Every Bio Card and Ending Plate, as well as every Full Motion Video, would be included on a Kompanion DVD that would fit inside a plastic sleeve inside the book's front cover.
4: The book would be hard-covered and it would be titled Mortal Kombat Kommemorative.
5: It would be grouped by Kombatants and trace each Kombatants storyline from beginning to end.
6: A History and Timeline would be included as well. One can not understand the Mortal Kombat Mythology without understanding the arc from Mortal Kombat Deception's account of the creation of the realms all the way to Mortal Kombat Armageddon's account of whatever Midway decides will be the canonized conclusion of Mortal Kombat Armageddon.
7: The book would be the canonized, official ruling, of the entire original Mortal Kombat Mythology.
8: There would be a section were Midway would clear up all discrepancies over the Mythology. This would give them a chance to say what is what and to explain the reasoning behind it.
9: There would be no move lists. It would also not focus on the history or production of the franchise because I think Midway has already done this well enough with their bonus Discs. This is not a history of Mortal Kombat's Success or a Strategy guide, those have been done already. This would just cover the mythology.
10: It would be a complete history and toast to the legacy of the Mortal Kombat Mythology. Something, that as far as I have see, hasn't really been fully realized before in such a way.
11: The book would be written in narrative form because that is how the storyline is written. It would work best and be most entertaining this way.

In short, imagine a hard-cover book with a Kompanion DVD that not only gave you the complete collection of every Bio Card, Ending Plate, and Full Motion Video. But did it all in brilliant full page color on the page and official digital representation on the DVD from the Arcade Cabinets and Game-Discs themselves. No grainy opening FMV of MKD on Youtube or shrunk down picture of Scorpion's Ending on a fan-site. Imagine them all in their original full-sized full-resolution brilliance on page and on DVD. Not only that, but the book would also guide you through each Kombatant's Kharacter development from beginning to end. It would give a comprehensive Timeline and History of the Mortal Kombat Mythology from the creation of the Mortal Kombat Universe to the conclusion of Mortal Kombat Armageddon. The book would give the storyline artists the ability to elaborate on Kombatant inspiration and development; as well as how the Mortal Kombat Mythology has been shaped into a truly modern mythology that is both inspiring and motivational. The book would give Midway the opportunity to clear up discrepancies and provide logical explanations that would fill in the gaps. And the whole thing would be canonized as the official ruling on the entire Mortal Kombat Mythology.

Mortal Kombat has sold magazines, video games, a card game, comic books, and even a book form of the first movie. Why, at the dawning of Armageddon, could it not sell a Kommemorative and Kollectable book that would toast the success of the entire series to this point? I remember how fun it was when I was a kid when my Dad bought me video game magazines that had Mortal Kombat stuff in them. I think this would be a good product. I think the fans would be willing to pay for it if it was made komplete and with pride. I know I would. Just an idea I had and I wanted to know what other fans thought of it.

Of course, there would have to be separate systems to pay for, or you'd have to take some special kontent out. Not to mention how freaking expensive this would have to be. I think I'd just rather have a pack of the games, not all of the merchandise ever created.

Well, it would be a Kollector’s Item. I am guessing the price would probably range from forty to fifty dollars. Maybe sixty. People would buy it for three reasons, Kollectability, reference, and presentation. Think about why people buy strategy guides. All the information can be found readily online within what, two weeks after the game is released? I asked myself, why do people even bother buying strategy guides anymore now that the internet has all that stuff for free? It is not just about the information on how to beat the game. It is about having a presentation that presents that information in a kollectable and interesting way.

In short, if you want to know the mythology, of course you could just read it up online. But if you want a sleek and kollectable presentation that showcases the mythology; then I think a Kommemorative would be appropriate. I also think that, at least some, of the fans would find this worth the money if done right. I would like to say enough fans would want to buy this to make this a profitable investment for Midway. However, I don’t know it that is true. That is why I made this poll. I want to know if enough people would be interested before I try to get any powers at be to even look at the project.

Yea I understand the purpose of a kommemorative and I still think it would be great to have. Especially if it had some nice artwork and finally tied together the story.

That's exactly what I want. I want a book that has full-color artwork and explains the story definitively. I keep pushing for the Kompanion DVD because I think it would be kool to have the artwork in a digital format as well. The FMVs play as regular and the picture artwork could be a kollection of stills.

60$?! MK Armaggedon was 50$, for all of the games i'm sure maybe like 100$ maybe more because, well all the games, the book and the rest.

I agree! I love to see how it all began until the day Armageddon began when the realms will tear apart. Soon I bet most of the players who started from the first game like myself will be true. Finally, I can retire knowing what happened. I'll definitely buy it for the old timers.
