Mortal Kombat Anthologies

I was at that MK australia site. They talked about Mortal Kombat Anthologies. Does anybody know wut that is?
 
MKA supposedly has permission from Midway to develop an MK game to offer for free on their site. It's probably never going to happen.
 
fuzzdork: actually we dont yet, we're waiting. its in very early development stages. we already have 3 top artists signed on.

Well, I'm a member there, too. And I know if it's real or not. You can be in the game. But, you have to be a member there first. Slow down, cuz I'm not telling anyone just to join there and forget about here. I dont want anybody to just forget everything. Its so sad :cry: . When, I was a member there, I never forgot about this place, and neither will you.
 
MK Anthologies IS a real MK game in the making. its in early development stages. This game is for the PC only and in doing so means it will have full freedom in what can be implemented. ALL characters from all mk games will be present. so dont ask if rain will be in it, cos he will be:)

Yeah, its gonna be the funnest Mortal Kombat game you'll ever play. Hey, Zen, did you tell them that you guys have permission from Midway. Or the already knew that.
 
to sell the game you would need the license, but anyone can create a game and have it as a free download because you're not breaking any laws in that regard. at the moment we are waiting to see if we can get permission to make it for the PC.

MK Anthologies will be in full 3D like what you see in mkda and mkd. however the graphics wont be cartoony and be more lifelike, even to the extent of making characters look more realistic physically, so ninjas wont be build like body builders etc.

the move ment will be like the classic versions, so Up is Jump, Down is Crouch etc.

personally i think they should do it in 2d. it might get done faster that way, and they could have real actors again, except of course for shokans and stuff like that. i dont feel that making it in 2d would take away from the gameplay any, because i always felt that the original three games were just as fun as the more recent ones. not to mention, if somehow they aren't able to get the license mentioned they'd have to make it a free download, which if that were the case would take forever to download on a slow connection, if it were in full 3d.
