Mortal Kombat 2nd in the UK charts

Seems like appropriate place to post this thread.

Mortal Kombat placed 2nd in the UK charts from last week. Portal 2 takes the crown obviously but its a great triumph where Mortal Kombat finished. I can see Portal 2 to be a one trick pony to be honest as its a £15 to £20 valued game than paying out £30 upto £40 for the it.

Mortal Kombat is certainly one of my contenders for GOTY as I cannot state how much I am enjoying MK!

I´m glad MK is doing well, I´m in love with the game. It was the first game I ever pre-ordered! MK needs love, not whiners as I see everywhere in the threads!
 
As much as I would love MK to be number 1, Portal 2 was an absolutely brilliant game as well and rightly deserves its success. The difference though is I'm pretty much done with Portal 2 now, and I'll still be playing MK for the forseeable future :)
 
Very innovative, engaging gameplay mechanics, extremely well written script and dialogue, really polished presentation, great voice acting, and on top of it all its just a hell of a lot of fun. Its a great package, honestly, if you haven't played the first one, grab it on steam, its really cheap. The second one has co-op as well which is awesome fun :)
