Just go back in time, you will notice a pattern, UMK3 was released a few weeks apart from the MK1 movie, MK4 was released a few weeks apart from the MK2 movie , MK9 was released a week after MK:Legacy, and MK10 will be released in 2013 less than a month apart from the new MK movie, specially since WB owns the rights to the game and movie, it makes sense from a financial point, commercial point and whichever angle you look at it, so whenever they announce the movie release date that's when MK10 will come, that means MK10 has probably been in production for the last few months, I'm willing to bet shortly after the team was done with DLC.
