MK10 Characters you don't want back.

This is my first post here and i was curious to see what characters you think are not needed/wanted on the MK10 roster, and hopefully replaced with NEW characters or characters you like better. Here's my list.

Cyrax
Sector
Cyber Sub-Zero
Sheeva
Stryker
Jax

As far as the story mode is concerned, I do not want the dead characters returning, perhaps they could return as zombies controlled by Shinnok, nothing more. Of course we could make a few exceptions such as Motaro and Liu Kang.

As far as the overall roster is concerned, there is no character from MK9 that I would not like to see return, I feel all are important and all should return along with some characters from MK4 and the 3D era. The more the merrier.

I'm ready for some new Kombatants ,and feel like those on my list are expendable and would clear the way for some new blood. Skarlet was a step in the right direction and imo MK needs a few more new characters . I respect your opinion though and MK10 is going to be great no matter what.

Nah, we need the cyborgs, especially since they're still alive in the story

There's a lot you can and should do with them, no reason to replace them for a bunch of new characters that we may or may not like as a whole

Sheeva on the other hand? Cut the ***** in half for all I care

I wouldn't say they are really expendable, since some of them are still alive in the story. Plus why do we need old characters gone just for the sake of removing them? If at all they bring in new characters it can be done without removing the old ones. And as far as new characters for Mk10 are concerned, I rather they use characters that existed from MK4 and beyond, majority of them have tremondous potential to be improved upon than entirely new ones. That way they'll be staying true to the roots too. There is no reason for entirely new characters to enter into the story and having a bunch of them would all just fall apart imo. Of course, one or two new characters wouldn't hurt, but not at the expense of post MK3 characters.

We have so many characters left to use in MK, anyway

We don't really need any more of them or else we're essentially going to run into the same shit that plagued the 3D MK games (a shitload of unnecessary new characters diluting the story of the games)

For me since i've been playing MK from the start there's only like 15 to 20 characters i really care about over the years. So eliminating some in the next game to make room for new kombatants is the direction i'd liked them to go. You can't keep a complete roster and add new fighters without redundancy or even worse less story and less timespent on rendering each fighter to look there best. This is one of those things, ask ten people get ten different answers so there will never be complete agreement on this . I do think they need to kill off some of some of these old characters that i listed . As far as story goes that can easily be changed and has many times.

The MK team doesn't have a great track record of making good new characters.

Sektor is the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, dude can't just be thrown in the trash.

Most of the fighters i really like aren't part of the original MK roster so i think they have made some great new fighters.

Your opinion isn't widely shared. I agree with you that the newer ones possess more potential than it seems, but I still do not think they should replace the older characters.

Except for Baraka. I'm one of the biggest Raka fans here (check the name :trillasspimp: )but I want him to get killed off in favor of a Tarkatan who is not willing to be a worthless lapdog. I want an older, wiser rebel Tarkatan to take his place.

I think NRS should include or exclude characters with the story as the priority and not preferences. And no, they cant't just ''change" the story to fit in entirely new characters, especially when majority of events leading to MK4 in the new timeline and original timeline largely remain the same. Plus we already have characters like Kai, Reiko, Tanya, Shujinko, Fujin who are already present in the timeline, they just need to be developed and bought in.

And I don't see any redundancy in maintaining the old characters and adding new ones. Look at the Tekken series, 95% of the cast return every game and the roster gets bigger and better without sacrificing individual attention. The same can be done with MK.

If they want to keep it interesting they really do need some new blood. You can't keep rolling out the same roster, after what 20 years it's time for some turnover maybe not six but at least two. Skarlet has been very well received.

To keep things interesting they need to further develop the characters they have.
Not just continue to pile on new blood with all these loose ends and confusions still floating around in the MK story.

I agree with more character development and more story.
