Low hit to free hit

Arc kick have slow startup ! so kung lao low hat is extrafast & most time stops her arc kick before she go up (anyway if kung lao spins normal ark kick do nothing to him just she get hit , but enhanced arc kick hit kung lao spin ha ha ha take that you overpowerd old monk !!!) same with sub zero freeze he 90% catch sonya doing arc kick & freeze her . & i know normal arc kick on startup have sometimes imune to hits or fireballs but that imune is extra short .
about sonya kiss IT IS A JOKE !!! Ed Boon was totally drunk when approved her kiss . sorry Ed but it feels like that =)
 
I don't think it's fair that Quan Chi and Scorpion have a low hit to free hit move (that gives them the free hit) while Sindel and Sonya don't. I do believe sub zero has one too.

Anybody else out there feel the same way?

just cuz your fav characters dont have all the tools you want doesnt mean they suck or that the tool you want is unfair. Im not gonna explain it further, i could argue more, but really, i shouldnt have to, the entire idea that this thread has any logic or forethought put into it aside form someones kneejerk reactions and personal bias is luaghable.

im sorry i couldnt of been more constructive. but everyone should not be the same, and certain chars should and WILL have moves that are different/better/worse then others.

Well, I wished Smoke had more options, he so predictable having barely any mix-ups at all, I believe he's sucks, terrible actually. Am I wrong? When I first used him, I actually thought his neutral 3 was a low. I use characters like Quan Chi, Baraka, and Sindel, I'm all about mix-up game so it might be personal, though I still believe the lack of low/med hits are hurting Smoke badly.

just like JC is almost entirely rushdown but has now low hit combo starter.

90% of the time if a char doesnt have something, its not "to hurt them" its to keep them in check. smoke isnt a bad char, he may not be considered the best, but certainly not bad. for every few bad smokes ive beaten, there has been a good one around the corner that layed me out. he has some of the bast anti projectile/zoning capabilities in the game, and he has high damage.

generally if a char doesnt have good mixups, they are better at punishing, and i think smoke fits that idea well, its why thirteenhorder posted in his smoke guide that a good smoke player sometimes has to be VERY patient and attack at the right opening.
 
Keep him in check? Lol, so he is intended to be completely predictable and vegetated until he can punish? I'm sorry, but I haven't met that Smoke around the corner you fought, maybe he simply sucks, I'm always in the same situation when I fight a "Gud" Smoke player. I block high most of the time and punish every once in the while he wakes up with his teleport, (if it lands, I'm prepared for the overhead or sweep afterwards, Aris did this in ReveLAtions)his teleport is unforgiving whenever its block. Even Quan Chi has more damaging combos (without damage boost), and he has a lot of mix-ups. I just think its awkward, I feel that he doesn't have enough to keep his opponent guessing.

your free to your own opinions but my comment on "keeping him in check" extends to every char in this game, not just smoke! why doesnt noob have good mixups/actual midscreen kombos? cuz hed be OP with them. why doesnt cyberzubzero have low/overhead starter juggles? cuz itd be OP.

my opinion on smoke is you cant play him as a rush, and punish requires good reads/timing. but hes fast which helps with it. he counters zoning like a MF (teleport, shake, smoke away/towards) and he can do very solid damage in the 35-45% range. The idea with smoke isnt to rush, but to apply pressure whith as much safety as you can provide at all times to try and open up a mistake on the opponents.

a smoke player that can bait/punish well is very powerful.

but now we are also entering the territory of how powerful should be be? obviously in a perfect (and impossible) world every char would be even. no tiers or anything. should he be buffed to s tier status? how would this unbalance him? would have have too many positive matches at that point? what would we change?

I think if he got a low hit string hed become POSSIBLY (not saying certainly) too strong as hed be extremely fast, do lots of damage, can counter zoning really well, good at punishing and then good at rushdown? it just seems like too much to me.

but this is getting pretty offtopic id say start another thread to discuss the pros/cons/possibilities of smoke getting a low hit string.
 
Well, if you say so man, I made one. I get your point, I realized that Cyrax is in the same boat, but he is dangerous even without mix-ups, I'm intimidated by him lol.
