King Of Fighters XIII

Anyone else having huge lag problems with playing on PSN? I've only played one match so far online (and lost, but it was close). Not saying lag or no lag would have changed the outcome (well, maybe), but it was just more annoying than anything. Both of us were seriously garbled up, lol. At least it doesn't feel like playing in quicksand/sludge like MK9's netcode.

You might find this useful.

Thanks for the link. A lot of stuff I already do is listed there. I guess I might just be playing during heavy traffic or something. My own connection isn't exactly the fastest around (my PS3 routinely reports 10 down, 1.5 up, for the most part. Kinda weak).

I bet the conditions for fighting Saiki and Evil Ash are that for the earlier matches, you must not used a single continue, win one match with a Neo MAX Move, have a perfect match and never lost a teammate in a match.

I certainly didn't meet ANY of those criteria and still fought both. So there might be some different criteria this time around.

I've fought peeps with 3 bars and 2 bars.

The inputs were a bit too delayed on 2 bars, but 3 was very playable. This game is so fun :)

The first three stages are easy, the cpu wasn't a challenge for me until the 4th stage. Funny thing is that nobody knows for sure what the conditions are, not even on the Atlus forum lol.

I played online in a background I hadn't seen before and isn't in the stage select. It was pretty awesome, and the samurai from Samurai Shodown was chillin on the left lol. I want it but have no idea how to unlock it, and no one appears to know either :\

Lol true, hopefully, it would be already know when the game is a week old.

Has anyone downloaded '98 Iori? Be on the lookout for EX Kyo and EX Mr.Karate. Not the biggest fan of clone characters, but Takuma is way more bad ass with his mask!

I wonder if there'll be an alternate costume package for the existing on disc characters.

(so tempted to cosplay Mai next year. Must....resist).

I've had one or two laggy matches, and when they lag they LAG. But the majority of matches I've played have been excellent (this is on the PSN btw).

Do the people you lag out against come up red or yellow?

I remember in KOF 2003 that in order to fight the true sub-boss and final boss, during the mid-boss against Kusanagi, you must finish him off with Desperation Move (Super Move) or higher and have not lost the match at all. Or else it will take you to the false (alternate) final boss.
