Just fought Secret Reptile

I was trying this with 1 round. Santa Claus was in the background, i do a flawless Victory + Stage Fatality but no Reptile fight after that. Then i go on this with 2 rounds and it worked. So i would say it doesn't work with 1.
 
Just go Fight-Ladder-Main Menu over and over till it shows. Right now im in the living forest trying to beat him.

EDIT: I use Beginner difficulty with 1 round and he shows.
 
Around how often do you think Noob/shadows/Smoke pops up? Like how many matches does it usually take for them to show up?
 
Yeah it works, and you dont need to finish the fight at all

The opponent "explodes" and you get a "xxx Wins" and then he shows up right after

Edit: 2k koins for the fight, yep

Also 1 round works for Smoke and Noob, I still didnt get Reptile yet
 
Not so oft. I beat the Arcade Mode with everyone and i got Noob 1x, Smoke 0x and the Santa Claus or Witch for Reptile 1-2x
 
Just a thought, since getting these players is slightly different than the original, that it may be a low punch in the round before the hidden fighters instead of low kick only like the original to fight Jade?
 
Difficulty wont make a difference, They same to all have their own difficulty not affected by the set difficulty. At least thats what iv came to understand fighting them.
