Info on characters is for noobs/newbs of the forum or for missing info you may not have on your favorite character. Why is this in the MK:A forum part?
because MK:A is the last game for all the characters or most of them in one whole game.
I decided WTH why not just give every bit of info known on the character... *note I may have to edit if I forgot any info*
I will start off with the games in order of characters, if I forget any please PM and tell me who, and or what. I will even cover secret characters.
Starting off:
Terms:
1) Mortal Kombat=series of which we are at, see Midway on more info.
2)Fatality= A brutal finisher on the opponent sometimes funny sometimes... Brutally sickening.

=Deception as in the game Mortal Kombat Deception
4)MKA=Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
5) Animality/etc.=During MK2/3*UMK3/MK:T*/MK:SM most characters had multitalities look them up to learn more.
6)MK:1 the movie=The first movie of this series.
7)MK:Annihalation/2=The second movie of the MK series... Many people hate it...
8)Shoakan=4 armed people race.
9)Edenia/Realms=See MK guides to learn more
10)Hell Spectre=Scorpion and Noob Saibot who keep returning from the dead.
11)Allignment=Good or evil or neutral.
12) Mortal Kombat Champion=The person or thing who has won/protected MK's honer. Right now that is Liu
13)White Locust society=Group trying to defend Earth Realm
14)Elder Gods=Gods that protect a certain realm/use certain elements.

Goro (status: Sub-boss) race: Shoakan allignment: MK1(evil), UMK3/MK:T(evil/no real allignment), MK4 (evil), and MKA/D (good and then he joins Khan evil)
Goro was the very first sub-boss in any Mortal Kombat game, also the very first Shoakan *SP* to appear in MK and he was the first to have 4 arms.
Goro was to help Shang Tsung win 10 MK tournaments, in which Khan would be allowed to enter Earth Realm and claim everyone's souls.
During the very first MK tournament Goro killed Liu Kang/Liu/Liu-Kang's ancestor Kung Lao who is another will be discussed character.
Goro is supposively killed by Liu in MK1, but somehow survives and in MKA he is saved from death by Khan and thus he becomes evil again.
In the movie he dies due to Johnny Cage knocking him off a cliff.
Midway team made two clay sculptures of Goro one which fell apart.
He only has two fatalities both which are in MK which you can easily check out.
He is part dragon and human, and has lived at least for 500 years.

Johnny Cage is very popular among many MK fans, he is known as the guy second to Scorpion who "will not die."
Johnny has died in MK2 by Assassination Squads sent by Khan. In MK3 he cheats death due to Khan and again is killed by the AS. During MK4 Raiden revives him using his powers. Again he dies due ot unknown circumstances. In MKA he is revived and dies again due to the Deadly Alliance.
Johnny losing so much makes me think of him as a very weak person.
In the movie Johnny kills Scorpion which is only because he had weapons. *cheater*
He also kills Goro in the movie which was mentioned above in Goro's section.
In MK:Annihalation *SP* the movie Shao Khan kills him... Will he return for a 3rd movie? (wouldn't doubt it)
He is a movie-star who is very famous.
He has had many general fatalities since MK1: MK1 he would upperct the opponents head off.
MK2: He would uppercut the oppenents head off by a glitch/extra button push three heads would appear. Plus *will edit here*
MK:T/UMK3: He pops them in the head again same MK2 glitch. His second fatality is where he bends the opponents body till they explode.
MK4: 1) He pulls off part of the oponents torso.
2) He uses his spirit thing and decapitates the opponent.
MKA 1) He punches the opponent in the stomache and just before they fall he punches them in the head pulling out their brain... Ouch!
*The animalities/etc. you will have to find out about I know them but that would take too much post measure.*
Also before I forget his most famous and well known move is the "Shadow Kick" where it makes duplicates of him and then he kicks them... Ok I don't know how you would exactly say what he does other than that...

Kano in MK1 was attacked by Sonya of the Special Forces unit because he killed her partner. He lost and was thought dead during MK2 since of the fight.
One of his eyes seem to have been removed and replaced by a laser eye.
Every boss he has worked with and then betrayed later. He is the cause of many deaths.
In the movie Sonya breaks his neck killing him.
In MK3 he causes the death of Sheeva which will be explained later in her section. He also caused the clone of Shao Khan's death. In MK3 he again runs into Sonya, in which case he gets knocked off a building... Thought dead again.
He is known as a Black Dragon member who are enemys of the Red Dragon over time he is thought no longer to be the leader. *Kabal is as far*
In MKA again he appears after the whole chain of events in MK3, he then betrays Khan and kills his clone who is thought to be the real Khan.
Again he fights Sonya and loses. He also has been the general in Khan, and the Deadly Alliance's armys.
His most famous move is kannon-ball where he charges in mid-air and in a ball strikes the opponent.
In MK3 *not UMK3/MK:T* Noob Saibot was just a black version of him, thus Noob didn't have any fatalities/etc. Since Kano had them.

Liu Kang/Liu will always be known for being the Mortal Kombat champion. In MK1-4 he had defeated every foe.
In MK1 Liu beat Shang Tsung, but Tsung was able to survive and they had a rematch during MK2,3, and DA/MK:SM *SM if you want to get technical*... But Quanchi and Shang Tsung killed Liu in DA.
He beat Goro, and supposively Kintoro (stated in some info from Goro during MK3 found somehwere :cx)
He had beat Shao Khan during MK2, and 3. Even though Khan didn't die it was quite hard to believe.
His ancestor Kung Lao died at the hands of Goro, but it seems during MK2 they made a new man carry the tradition of being Kung Lao *not Liu*
He is the main character through most MKs...
Since MK2 his fatalitys/animalities have something to do with dragons.

2) He trows the victim into the air and shoots them with a fireball causing them to explode.
MK: 1)He manifest into another person's body making them remove their head with his in place.
2) Fire melting opponent if I remember correctly.
The rest is up to you to find. His most famous move is the bicycle kick.

Raiden is known as the Elder God who protects Earth Realm. He also taught Kung Lao Liu's ancestor. He is known as the Thunder God due to his abilities.
His most famous move is his "Torpedo" where he shoots himself across the stage hitting the opponent.
Along time ago Shinnok *evil elder god* who attacked the other Elder Gods was banished to the Nettherrealm by Raiden thus he has a huge grudge against him. *MK4*
After the events of MKA Raiden is the only one left to fight the Deadly Alliance, of course the two sorcerers beat him, but then Onaga comes into play.
Because of Shujinko Onaga the Dragon King *Who was a spirit taking control of Reptile* was reborn, he tried to get the sacred amulet from Quanchi, but Raiden stopped him for a short while.
Raiden sacraficed himself, and became more evil. Either the mortals of Earth Realm would fight to protect their realm or he would destroy them himself.
Through many games Raiden has turned himself mortal again to stop the threats to Earth Realm since the others wouldn't help.
Raiden was once knon as Rayden during MK1, but was quickly changed after that to Raiden.
Through every game he wore a special chinese hat, sort of used as an sacred item itself. *Not much is known about it but it is cool*
He also seems to be the only caring Elder God, since he sacrafices so much, while the others do nothing.
In the movies it is basically the same.
His thunder staff is supposively an item leading to one's destiny. It was given to Kai during MK4 but returned during MK Konquest.
He is very old and has grey hair. Before he was turned evilish, his eyes were blue, but now they seem more red.
In the movies he is related to Shao Khan, and Shinnok. Many people think Raiden may still be related to Shinnok at least due to some stuff said in MK Konquest.
His fatalitys:
MK1: 1) He poped the opponent's head by sending a large amount of electricity through it.
MK2: 1) He electrocutes them until they explode.
2)I thin it was an exploding uppercut... *you'll have to check.*
MK3/UMK3/MK:T: See MK2
MK4: 1) He stabsthe lightning pole through the opponent's body and sends electricity through them and then tosses them aside.
2)He grabs them and electrocutes them causing them to explode.
MKA: 1)See MK4 fatality #2 but a lot more powerful.
MK:1) He destroys you both with a lightning attack.
2) He destroys you with another lightning attack.

Reptile was one of the original 3 ninja characters, and was the very first Secret Character.
Unlike Scorpion and Sub-Zero Reptile dawns a green ninja outfit.
He was created after Ed Boon went to a park and came up with the idea for him.
Unlike Scorpion, under his face mask *MK1-3* he had a reptile head that would kill the opponent with its tongue.
During MK4 he began to change into a more reptillian creature, instead of being a humanoid.
He is one of the fighters who worked for Shao Khan during MK2-3, and was very protective.
He is very famous and his special move is his invisibility which is wherer he would become invisible until hit, or the same button combo was pressed.
During MK3 he was sent to stop Kitana from harming Shao Khan or joining the humans, but it seems he failed. He also found out that his lord wouldn't help him revive his dead/extinct species.
Also MK:T led to the discovery of another humanoid raptor/etc. Namned Chameleon, and the other one Khameleon. Both have been said to be part of Reptile's species...
During MK4 he joins Quanchi and Shinnok but is again detered from his quest of returning his species. His ending sucks... That is all to be said.
After the Deadly Alliance kills the fake Shao Khan to which he thought was the real, he goes insane and ends up attacking Nitara a vampire who befriends him, but she wishes of him to damage Cyrax's arm panel which he succeeds at doing.
In MKA Reptile seriously looks like a dinosaur-like creature. He even has full scales. At the end he becomes the Dragon King due to a old prophecy, and he also loses control of his body.
