Info aboud UMK3 Nintendo DS version.

Hi to you all and congrats for your forum :) .As all of you I'm also very impatient to buy and play this new MK game for PS3 and 360 :hail: .

In these days I was thinking to buy UMK3 for Nintendo DS ,could you tell me if the difficulty is the same of the arcade version or lower/higher?
And another important thing:has this version unlimited credits?

Please let me know and thanks very much for your help
 
i never play umk3 i was in hospital at that time in my life very hard time and and i missed and never played it sorry no help here my mk friend

This is actually one of the better ports in my opinion. I've had a lot of fun with it and yes there are unlimited credits. But if you expect it to be easier than the other versions just forget it. This is one of those games than makes you want to get two gameboys from one DS if you understand what I mean ;} *SNAP*

And puzzle combat is also really fun. Though I can't personally play it because of my colour blindness but still! You won't get a game as good as this for the small amount you have to pay for it. So if you have a DS and are a MK fan... just run away and buy it now! ;}

Well, it is a decent port, but certainly not the same game played on the arcade cabs.

The speed of the game is more like MKT, and the DS shows its limitations. Having 2 Smokes on the screen lags the game, as well as certain arenas with animated backgrounds. UMK3 was never very hard imo, with Motaro being sooooo easy to be, i cant about do it with my eyes closed. Corner run jabs are also all screwed up and you can even get Shao Kahn easily stuck in a corner run jab infinite. lol

Definitely worth getting but nothing to take very very serious.

PS- eff Puzzle Kombat. waste of space imo

For the difficulty:about DS version,I 've read that if the same CPU character defeats you for several times,then his AI becomes more"human"and he can be defeated rather easily,can you confirm this thing?

For Tim Static:hope that you're right.I had read that CPU opponents are very smart and counterattack everything you do,and in PSX MKT and Genesis MK3 I had these problems.On other side I wasn't very good with combos.

From your replies certainly this DS version isn't perfect but still keeps a lot of the great things of the original. I've decided,I'll buy it at 20€/25$ seems a very good price for this game!
I'm impatient to try it after so much time,just too bad for the absence of a training mode,for the combos would have been very useful.
