damn... i just bought a conquest dvd off ebay, completely ignorant of the fact that it's a region 2 disc. now i wont know if it'll play until it gets here, and im doubting it will.

has anyone got any idea how i can get it to play on my ps2 without a mod chip... or any helpful advice perhaps? :(

i appreciate the effort man but...

"Please note: This product will NOT play European (PAL) DVD movies on a U.S. PlayStation2"

Then sell it to someone else, and make sure they know that it won't play on a PS2. I hate to say it, but that sounds like its about it, bro. :(

yeah, but i dont think it plays on anything else either, unless its an nstc/pal crossover player.... thingy. lol well i'll figure something out. i didn't spend much on it, maybe i can sell it to the stupid buy and trade place down the street. they wont notice until someone else buys it.

Then you're not out too much. if you paid like 15-20, it would be understandable for you to be pissed, but at 6 or 7, ya may as well let it go :D

You could buy a multi region dvd player but it is not all that worthed. $6-7, it is not a huge loss. re sell it.

I know how great frisbys they make... It wasn't a AOL CD but some other net company freebie CD. But I had one smack me in the face when the music students at college decided they would all start throw Music Cds and any othe CD in the music rooms around. I had a bruise on my face for two weeks.

Yeah, hell they make good FRISBYS... But they can be dangerous.

edit:

Wrong word there sorry. Angel messed up her post again.

a guy i know got one thrown at his nuts, and he put his hand in the way to stop it and it cut his hand open all the way up it. if only his hands werent there, that would have ruled

If you have a dvd player on your computer that should work. I bought a few region 2 conquest video's and played them on my comp and ripped them too.

If the DVD won't work on your PS2, then go out and buy a Pro Action Replay that comes with a built-in multi-region media player. It should work no problem that way.
