Today <a href="http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/30/injustice-gods-among-us-the-death-of-metropolis">IGN has an exclusive reveal</a> of the new <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/injustice/">Injustice Gods Among Us</a> story mode. The trailer gives you a glimpse at what is happening in the game's backing story. But the thing I want to stress here, is go read the Injustice Gods Among Us digital comic series FIRST.
Actually right now, go over to <a href="http://www.comixology.com/Injustice-Gods-Among-Us-2013/comics-series/9821">comiXology</a>, <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/injustice-gods-among-us-1/id593763214?mt=11">Apple's iBooks Store</a> or <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Injustice-Gods-Among-Us-ebook/dp/B00B15HWXG">Amazon Kindle Fire Store</a> to download the comics and read all three issues available so far. It'll only take you maybe 15 minutes. We can wait...
Wasn't that really intense so far?!!
Okay now that you've read the comics, NOW you can watch the Story Mode trailer below.

(Also is that Adam Baldwin I hear as Green Lantern? Any other fellow Browncoats out there think that is him too?)
Also revealed in the <a href="http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/30/injustice-gods-among-us-the-death-of-metropolis">IGN interview with Hector Sanchez</a> is new never before talked about gameplay details.
First, NetherRealm is giving fighting game fans an unparalleled level of customization in this new game. You'll be able to change your special move style from a typical Mortal Kombat "Down" then "Forward" + "Button" style to the Quarter Circle Forward button style of special move inputs. It may sound like a minor difference, but it's one that makes a big difference in play style and the first of any fighting game to offer players both styles.
Another new change, and something players really wanted in <a href="http://www.trmk.org/games/mortal_kombat_2011">Mortal Kombat 9</a> was online practice mode. Now you and a friend can get together online to practice. No more fighting dummies, this looks like a great way to live-practice and sharpen your skills against a real person.
Check out the <a href="http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/30/injustice-gods-among-us-the-death-of-metropolis">IGN interview with Hector Sanchez</a> for more details. There should also be an interview with him showing up over at <a href="http://www.giantbomb.com">GiantBomb</a> later this week I've heard, so keep your eyes peeled.
