Ideas for NEW characters - what/who would you like to see?

I'd still take a demon clown over most of the other new characters written on this topic who are let's be honest, in a way or another, basically copypaste of other already existent characters in the franchise. Bring something new, different, creepy and very culturally-specific, please, enough of over-sexualized females or pseudo-ninjas with Chameleon-inspired stories like "for ages, he's been watching MK tournaments in the shadows for no reason at all"-bullcrap... Fans are generally very uninspired in terms of ideas for new characters.

Thank you NRS for D'Vorah, Kotal and Ferra/Torr, I want more of those characters that look absolutely like NOTHING in Mortal Kombat.

The only reason Liu and Kitana never got it on was because both were killed off prematurely in the new timeline. Sonya and Johnny however DO get it on as they now have a daughter.

A homosexual character doesn't fit cause sexual activities aren't explicitly touched on in MK? Gays aren't just sex, you know. There's no reason why a gay character can't be involved.

I didnt say there is no any love, just not much on the surface. Cassie Cage shuts me down but, i really hate Cassie Cage. Many of my other friends from an old MK community disgusted from her. Its not good to have a daughter of Jhonny and Sonya. I dont know what you think, not going to discuss Cassie Cage is good or not it depends on the person isnt it?

Yes, when there is a fantastical atmosphere with so less sex and love, a gay character just wouldnt fit. As i said in my another post, my english is not that good and im bad at writing long texts. But think, create a gay character in your mind, try to make it fit to MK universe. Then you can understand me maybe.

Guys, Street Fighter has a gay character and a transgender too (who is a very popular character in ultra) and really, it's not a big deal. It's just a part of the character's story and that's it. I'd be fine having a lesbian or a gay character in MK as long as it wasn't stereotypical and was simply a part of that character...

No. This character would use a bladed staff (like Jade's) to shove inside a guy's butt, use a chainsaw to split a guy in half vertically from butt/crotch to face/head, shove a bomb inside a guy's butt to make him explode, and anything of that nature. THESE FATALITIES ARE OK FOR MK!

Another type of fatality I thought of is when the character impales the guy at the abdomen or chest with a staff and have the staff be planted on the ground making the victim is bend over, propped up from the impalement, standing up, with his behind exposed to the winner. Then the winner would "do" the dead guy from behind while watching out with the sharp object impaled on the dead (standing) body. During that activity, it'd only show the upper parts of the body in motion, censoring the private parts and it'd continue like Quan Chi's Leg Beat. For a female victim, this character would use the weapon to impale her the same way but would call one of his straight friends to "do" her instead. But... I wouldn't really add this fatality for a game like this because it's direct sexual activity (both for female and male victims).

The friendship would be this character listening to music while dancing as if he's in a club.

Oh, and this character will not be a cannibal. ;)

Reminds Kid NOVA of Vlad the Impaler.

However, Kid NOVA likes butt squeezing that is why he wants his fatality to be in the game. He wants Kano to squeeze the butt of another character til it explodes. Its best that way. Its unique & Original.

Something tells me you only want Jade as a female Vlad the Impaler, just so you can justify having her ram her Bo (Bojutsu) up the opponents ass and work them like a puppet show!

This is a basic idea I had for him and it has changed a few times. But it essentially went something like this:

A young man ventures out into the Living Forest in search of his mother and sisters who were abducted by a group of pirate-like people. After searching for a day or two, he demands that the trees help him find his lost relatives. The trees are offended by his request and devour him. His mind is transferred into a vacant tree and he becomes of the living trees.

But in a surprise twist he finds himself rooted into the ground right along side the pirate camp where his family is being held captive. He extends his roots and slaughters the vile men. His mother and sisters do not realize that he is the tree and flee the forest, never to be seen by him again.

For hundreds of years, he remains in the Living Forest as one of its abominations. Until one day a sorceress enters the forest and mentally intercepts the young man's cry for help. She seeks the tree out and after taking pity on him, decides to make a deal with the tree spirit. If he agrees to do ten specific tasks for her, she will free him from the tree and restore his body.

The young man agrees and the sorceress burns his tree to the ground. His Human self rises up out of the fire just as he looked before the awful curse that was inflicted on him. Only now he possess supernatural abilities. He is able to armor himself with bark, he is able to unleash tree vines and roots from his body and he is able to establish a mental link with all kinds of plants.

The Living Forest lives through the young man. He is let loose across the realms carrying out the sorceresses tasks. What he and the sorceress do not know however, is that the spirits of the Living Forest are secretly using the young man as a vessel to carry out their own plans.

The name I gave him was Arden.

this is nuts....i was looking around for a thread about new characters and stumbled upon this old post. i had an idea for a character and was going to see what everybody else thought, but you pretty much described that character exactly.


but the character i came up with had a slightly different back story...it helped explain the origins of the living forest. the trees were once a race of "tree-people" who lived deep in the forests of outworld. the Tree-People (who called themselves "The Living Forest") were among the first race of people Shao Kahn "exterminated" when he first took over as ruler of outworld.

Shao Kahn attempted to enslave the Living Forest, but to his surprise, they fought back. it led to the death of a majority of the tree-people....Shao Kahn had demanded that a sorcerer place a spell on the remaining "tree-people" as punishment for there lack of loyalty. the spell caused the remaining tree-people to root into the ground, where they eventually turn into the trees of the living forest. centuries passed and many forgot the people who lived behind the faces of the trees.

It was then "Bo Rai Cho" who suggested to Raiden that they attempt to break the spell that Kahn placed all those years ago. He insists that if they are to break the curse, the tree people would ally themselves with the forces of light. Raiden ends up breaking the spell and the living forest turns into a new race of people.

They would be sort of the opposite of the Tarkata. they would be relatively peaceful, but crazy dangerous when need be. id like to think of them as the "Shaolin Monks" of outworld.

i had the same ideas as you when it came to his abilities though...using roots, vines, plants etc. although my ideas for his appearance are quite different then yours. my version would have more of a "tree" look. having bark for skin and tree limbs growing from his head with leaves and stuff.

i searched around google and found a picture that looks kind of like "groot" who i believe is some kind of tree person or something (never read/seen GOTG) but he has the look im talking about.

anyway, not that you really cared about my lame ass character idea, i just thought it was cool that you and i had such a similar idea.
and i was kinda hoping i could bring back some life into this thread....Nasty Freak made it all weird and stuff, so i dont blame people for avoiding it hahah
 
The visual design for your character is kinda similar to mine. When Arden armors himself with bark, he looks a lot like a tree-man. Maybe not as extreme as Groot, but still.

Thanks for sharing. Kinda cool that we had similar ideas for a character.
 
How about Zaggot, the god of chaos. He was from one of the old Goro comics.

I'd want a female similar to Belladonna (Thrill Kill) who also uses a cattle prod. Her name should be SHIRLEY!


She'd look similar to Shermie (King of Fighters) because she'd have long red hair with bangs with the high waisted pencil skirt and a matching jacket.

This is Shermie.

Her alternate outfit can be anything but her hair would be short and would look similar to Anna Williams' (Tekken).

Gameplay wise, she's very similar to Belladonna (Thrill Kill) with the moaning and also uses 2 lightning shaped daggers she can throw (like how Kano does) and also stab with (like Mileena does). Her cattle prod can also be used like a magic wand, allowing her to shoot electrical projectiles and also summon lightning from the sky. She always moans after her fatalities. ;)

Fatality 1 (Shocking Love Toy): Basically she shoves the cattle in the victim's anus and electrocutes him to death until he gets fried. (The handle in her cattle prod is strictly electric proof so she won't get shocked.)

Fatality 2 (Ripped-Off Fellatio); First, she throws her lightning shaped daggers on each of the opponent's feet. Next, she's grab the enemy at the crotch with one hand and hold the shoulder with the other hand so she can rip off the victim's body of his legs since the daggers are pinning both feet on the ground (exactly like Mileena's MK9 Rip-Off fatality). Then once the legless loser is on his back, Shirley pulls out the cattle prod off her back and shoves it in the poor guy's mouth. Lastly, she shocks him with full force using that weapon from that position until he gets fried and his head explodes.
