How will the human versions of Cyrax and Sektor play?

I don't think the concept is stupid at all. Sub-Zero has his freezing powers because he's a cryomancer. Smoke has his smoke powers because he was born with them. It would make sense that Cyrax and Sektor (being the other 2 of the Lin Kuei's top four assassins) be born with some kind of "supernatural" ability. Only problem with Sektor having fire abilities is that he would be similar to Scorpion. However, Cyrax having some kind of plasma abilities would be awesome, and it would further develop the character's back story.

Yeah plasma is what I was thinking just couldn't think iof the word, green flames wut the hell was I thinking?!? but yeah now tht i think about it the teleport move would kinda look similar to scorps effect just with an uppercut. then again scorpion has hell fire, he can shoot it or wutever lui kang and sektor does I dunno.
 
if they are "story only" stuff, there are chances they have , Cyrax, bombs, and other diferents moves not precisely equal as his cyber version, and Sektor, having obviously his flamethrower, but, none missiles ...... but other special moves, to be used only in story mode .....

if they are , in the end, alternate costumes, it's very hard to figure out how logical some special moves could be ported to their human versions, or maybe, they will have too, for this alternate humans versions, other special moves, that fit their humans forms, and, this way, being more or less almost as newer characters, more or less like

i can picture human cyrax throwing his net alternatively by using both his hands like a fisherman and throwing it over his opponent, with them being stuck. i've seen this in movies and cartoons in the past. for example, pokemon. lol! forealz though, think about it.

Well if the plasma thing were true, and for the sake of argument I'm going to pretend it to be true, just as SZ can manipulate ice into the ice balls, kori blade, clone, etc. Cyrax could theoretically shoot the plasma out, manifesting it into the form of a net. I don't think this would be a bad idea or look that ridiculous.
 
Well it doesn't have to be literally a net, it could be a move that looks different but has the same effect of disabling the opponent.

Could just be something like a plasma ball that surrounds the opponent when it connects.
 
I agree with yautjared. They are probably only story-related characters. They probably play without some of their other moves like Smoke in UMK3. Human Smoke couldn't bomb the earth with his fatality.. Lol. Did he even have one? He always seemed like an afterthought which is the vibe I'm getting here.

If enough people clamor for them, they might revisit them as DLC maybe.

Either way, that's the best way to look at it until we know more. That way, you're not disappointed they aren't fully in the game and aren't mad if they sell them to you after fully developing them down the line.

Im wondering if the net will still be a green plasma or if its going to be like some super sharp steel wire type of net. Guess we will all find out in very soon!

Well thats what I think too...im just saying if he does have it. But then again it wouldnt make sense as its also used as one of his fatalites so maybe these versions are not playable except for in the storyline...
 
I think he will have a net, but just throw it instead of having it come out of his chest. From the looks of it, they are reskins instead of totally new characters. We can see Cyrax has bombs on his belt, and Sektor has flame throwers on his arms, so the moves will probably be the same only with different animations. I also think this will be the case with

Spoiler:
Cyber Sub is a complete character at his own with his own spot and story chpter. His moveset was leaked during the hack and it is completely different than human Sub

Cyber Reptile just appears as either a challenge tower character or as something U can unlock at the krypt like a concept od wtf else. He is no alternate of Reptile you can play with. He probably is like Stuntman who is playing like Jax
