i remember my first encounter with the MK Arcade Cabinet as if it were yesterday.
One night during the summer, we (my family and i) went to a big fair here in Antwerp. As there were a lot of rides, arcade halls and stuff.
In one of thos Arcade halls stood a MK1 cabinet and a few guys were playing at it. Off course i only knew the street fighter game till then.
I went to take a look at the game, and saw one guy playing as Sub-Zero against the CPU. Immediately, the game grabbed me by the throat with the massive goreness and special moves. (when i called my mom to come and have a look, she told me to act normal...as i was getting overexcited)
The game really began to obsess me when the guy pulled off Sub's Spinal Rip fatality... the screams of the victim, the blood...marvelous...
From that moment on, i knew MK and i were made for eachother. Been buying and playing the MK games since then.
I have em all... (only have to live with my mom's comments till death, "aren't u sick of playing those games??" HELL NO !!!)
Well, that was my story....
(oh, and thinking of it, i do not appreciate the fact that the US get's those games earlier than we do... nah...
as i live in Europe...)
