How do you think the revenants will be revived in MK11?

Agreed, but I'd barely call that "living," given that he more like in a state of limbo and probably doesn't know what's going on, much like Medusa's severed head.

I guess so but he's definitley not dead. I wouldn't call him undead either since he's an Elder God.

I certainly wouldn't call it "alive," though.
How about we just meet half way at him being in a comatose & catatonic state?

That's exactly what he is!

He can't die, but his head can't work normally without the body.

He is not dead, but he isn't alive either. IMO the most cruel ending of MK I've seen.

Thats a good point? Why did DVorah turn on Kotal in the first place? Why does she serve Shinnok?

I think D'vorah's more obsessed with power than anything, she wants power and prestige and will do anything to get her slimy claws on it. Hence, her allegiance to the Netherrealm. She even said it herself in Raiden's chapter during the flashback, she doesn't believe in any gods nor does she follow them.

Anyways, can we get back on topic? You know, the one where we discuss the possible ways in which the remaining revenants might get revived in MK11?

Agreed. And even headless, he still makes a great character. Hopefully someone can use his head like a weapon in MK11, like Medusa.

I hope Kotal Kahn's Tower Ending ends up as canon - the notion that the cycle can't be broken. Raiden's gone dark. He's after Kahn after his aggressiveness at the end of story mode. I absolutely love love love love the idea that maybe we get a new tournament that almost puts Outworld in the "protagonist" column *with* Earthrealm. I love the notion that maybe it becomes less Outworld vs. Earthrealm, but Outworld vs. Earthrealm/Netherrealm or Outworld vs. Earthrealm vs. Netherrealm.

I could see the dilemna on our new heroes faces. Do they really want to fight to the death in this damn tournament because Raiden was an aggressive SOB? I could see them trying to find a way to call it off. I could see Sub Zero and Scorpion taking Raiden's place as the overall mentors to the group. I'd see Johnny, Sonya, Kenshi, and Jax maybe fading away and or dying in the scuffles. New characters. New conflicts. Klassic Kharacters. Klassic Konflicts.

My dream MK11 would be a new MK Tournament. Raiden and Kotal would duke it out. Fujin would take Raiden's place as Protector of Earthrealm. The Revenants would be destroyed. Goro would make a play for the throne and betray Outworld again (maybe helping Earthrealm to try and win the throne that way.) I would see dilemnas for Earth with loyalties being tested. (Is Sub Zero willing to play into Raiden's dark aggression for example, or does he discover more about the Chryomancers and thus side with Outworld. Does Raiden do something to trigger the rage in Scorpion?)

... and I would see the return of Shao Kahn. I know that people are tired of him. But I would love it if the final match of the Story Mode was Kotal vs. Shao Kahn. New Emperor vs. Old Emperor. The fate of Outworld/Edenia/Earthrealm on the line. I really do love Kotal now, and feel like he's the closest thing to a "good" Outworlder we've got that wasn't Edenian.

Without Shao Kahn, the Mortal Kombat Tournament is meaningless. Kotal's ending is very cool.

But I doubt Raiden will make the mistake of putting Fujin on his place again.

Fujin wasn't a good protector on the unchanged timeline. Besides the fact that Raiden is focusing all defenses on himself.
