Does anybody read this? I love those books... up until So Long, And Thanks for all The Fish. I didn't like it since they stopped messing around in space. The original is the friggin best, though, you HAVE to read it.

"Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it."

Uhh... it's called Hitch(h)iker's Guide To the Galaxy, you can get it at Barnes & Nobles, Borders, or eBay. If you really like it, get the ULTIMATE HHG2G, that's the complete series, it's what I bought.

No, it is indeed The "Hitchhiker's" Guide To The Galaxy. Yes, I've read it. I was slightly disappointed in the film (2005) as it didn't refer to the towel being a necessity as much, yet it was still pretty good. Hello, blatant George W. Bush impersonation.

I have also seen the original "film" (What was it something like three episodes or something?) by the BBC.

It's currently the only book in the series that I have read. A great one, though.

I loved the book, i finished it in 3 days. The movie was pretty funny though, too bad the author died before it was released.

I think all the books were made into films... Showed on TV. I watched the orginal film of this book... Haven't read the book but the film didn't impress me.

I thought it was... boring. Mind you... I was kinda... Young at the time I saw it so... Yeah I properly didn't understand it.

Yeha, it has a... I dont' know how to describe it's humor, it's.. like sarcastic, ironic, dry if you will, it's really funny though.

Only the first two books (HHG2TG and Restaurant at the end of the universe) were translated to the miniseries. It would be interesting to see how they could possibly sell "Life the Universe and Everything" to an American audience as it revolves to a large extent around cricket. "So long and thanks for all the fish" is probably my favourite cause A: it reintroduced the Vogon's, B: Arthur got laid, C: It was so damn dark.
I like "Mostly Harmless" cause it resolved so many plot threads and drew the five part trilogy full circle. :)

I haven't read it but I saw the movie and if the movie is anything like he book, I'd rather hang myself X_X It was easily the worst movie I had seen this year. It hardly made any sense at all and the characters were annoying as hell.

I'd recommend reading the book. The movie missed a lot and strayed from the book at times. The book is better.

No, I think he'd rather not see the movie, I mean I like the movie, but he'd be pissed.

The mini series was on when the movie was realised on the BBCs here. Heck, I seem to recall it was on last night (too tired last night to realise it). I thought it was a load of rubbish (if that was it) and turned over.
