Agreed.

They should extend the fatalities, though. They could trade in the visceral finisher for a nifty series of devastating blows - a kill kata, if you will.

Yeah, that would be cool I wouldn't mind that at all either

Glamador, that's why I'm thinking (for Superman) but the way Boon said it obviously makes you wonder lol.

We'll see though, I'm sure either way It'll look neat:mrgreen:

Sonya, GL's and Flash's are soooo weak. I mean, Flash's finishing move just looks like one of his regular special moves. I know finishing moves don't make the game and its far from the reason I want it, but I figured the MK team could come up with a few better ideas, w/o all the blood and violence.

And someone asked about blood, seeing Baraka's blades on superman in one of the gameplay vids with NO blood should pretty much answer that question. (yes, that might not be the finished game, but chances are there will be no blood for that move like we are used too)

Its all about the gameplay anyway. :)

I liked all three of the fatalities.

Sonya's was very brutal despite having no blood or gore, who cares if it does anyway?
I just care if it actually kills them.

Catwoman's was something you'd expect from her, nothing bad here.

I LOVED Sub-Zero's fatality though, I like it more than his freeze shatter fatality.

I see what you're saying but remember, Midway has to do what DC says for approval reasons so with the finishers that Flash has for example I'd point more fingers personally at DC then the MK team. I mean if you look at Jokers original fatality now(edited thanks to the ESRB system) DC was pretty cool about that and let the MK team do something pretty "nasty" I just think Flash is also one of those characters that you really can't do "much" with.

The whole over the top blood gig isn't that big a deal though at this point, everyone knew for months this wouldn't be an "M" rated game so I'm not that concerned honestly.

Like you said, gameplay>everything else

Tanya was one of my favorite characters to use in MK4, and she had the neck snap fatality which I thought was pretty weak. I was really hoping for a little more inventive fatalities since they couldn't just rip everyone's heads off... but I don't think they are really that inventive at all.

How can you snap someone's neck and kill them, but you can't shoot them in the head? PG-13 movies can have pretty gruesome scenes in it.

It seems like the fatalities were one of the last things to add, since in interviews just less than a month ago they weren't sure if they were going to have 1 or 2 fatalities. Hopefully they aren't rushed.

It's really quite simple, yet really annoying...the dumb ESRB stepped in at the last second to **** up Midway/DC's already done Fatalitie's. But that is a good point, that's what I'm saying...look at Raiden's and Sub's fatality...pretty damn Mature and brutal if you ask me, yet they had issues with "Joker's gun fatality"....
