The end of the original Sub-Zero for now...

Couple things.

No shadows becuase it was difficult to make them on this backround for some reason.

No shaded backround because this was the last hit that subby took.

The spear isn't inverted i made that myself.

The Scorpion sprite i also made. It seems a little iffy...

For anyone who might not understand Subby was near death and Scorpion shot his spear for a finishing move, Subby shot ice but the spear cracked through it and froze and hit subby square in the heart.

i can kinda tell you made it your self i see the background on scorpions left hip its ok 7/10 and to make a shadow shrienk it tell it fits the floor well thats what i do but just telling

If you're just doing a scenario, you might want to try not even using life bars, since you're telling a story, not recreating something from the game.

No shadows on this board, or any pit level are okay by MK standards. None of the games included shadows on the pits until MKD.

Made the spear yourself, how? It looks like you just turned it blue. not that you made it. It follows the same shape as the spear has always had.

The Scorpion sprite is iffy, and you didn't make it. Midway did. You simply put two different sprites together and didn't do it very well. If you made the sprite, Scorpion would look different from his in game incarnations.

The idea isn't a bad one, just like most stuff here, it needs work to look good. Flawless victories get old if you do make fakes. Try making Scorpion beat up a bit too. Do you really think Sub-Zero would never get a hit in?

The spear would look better going through Sub's torso and out the other side. Right now the effect looks unfinished, or almost as if Sub is repelling the spear. All because the tip is sitting over Sub and not in him.

If you are going to use life bars, add a timer and everything else to make it look right.

Still just a copy and paste job, even if you did redo the spear so it looks frozen. You should probably try having some ice dangling from it to give more reference to it being frozen too.

better than you described it at lunch today, Inferno. I love the whole 'frozen spear strikes heart' thing. the sprite, minorly disordered. otherwise, i like it. 7/10

K1ll i ment i colored the spear and obviously the sprites are from midway i just ment i connected it that way myself, anyways i was just trying out some stuff. Thanks for good critisism K1ll and everyone!

Oh and the spear thing, well it just hit subby so it didn't go through yet...

It's pretty good.

What I don't get is how you 'made' the Scorpion sprite? All you did was cut the top half of a sprite and place it on a bottom half of another sprite. I do that a lot but I never say I 'made' the sprite. You jsut copied and pasted half a sprite..

You also forgot the timer.

well its not like he really needed a timer in this case. its just some sort of an event. its not like this is all a played fight. its a story-sequential fake, not a game fight that could be used directly from the game. and he just slapped 2 sprites together for the Scorpion, sure, but atleast he put some backbone into the process.

Yeah, I realized that, becuase I read his whole post. I even mentioned it in my post, which I've quoted for easy access. Basically, he should have gone all the way with the life bars or none at all to make it look right.
