Does Toasty Do Anything?

In the demo, it does nothing. In MK2, if you press down and start while he says it you face Smoke. In every other game after MK2 it was just there to be funny. That's pretty much it.

Im too slow on the draw so I wasnt sure if it did something in the demo.

It should do something in the game. And it should be a new button prompt

Spoiler:
Well, seeing how there are 4 hidden kombatants in the arcade ladder, you might have to put a special button command while "Toasty!" pops up in order to fight one of them.

How do you even get toasty to come up? I spent 2 whole matches doing nothing but uppercuts and won them and still no toasty... Is it in the UK Demo?

It's in both demos it's just quite random for example I did what you did to show a friend Toasty is back nothing.....But then we play for fun in the first round we got him twice and once in the second round.

I've played the demo like crazy and I've only had it happen one time. I really want Dan Forden's buttered toast t-shirt. Haha.

It would be kind of fun if they threw in a little something for Toasty. Like, if you get a Toasty on the Portal stage and you press Down + Start, you get some kind of reward. It doesn't have to be fight a secret character like in MK2... maybe it could give you Dan's buttered toast t-shirt as an Avatar award, or something.

The Toasty thing is in every demo, and it comes in at random times when you do the uppercut, just like in the other MK games. There's really no specific thing you need to do other than to uppercut.

MAPS... sir, how do you incorporate the Spoiler tab into your comments?

That antwanboldin dude below you shows you how to do it, Just click "reply with quote" below his post and the info will pop up for you.

I consider anyone that claims they knew it was "toasty" and not "whoopsi" before being corrected online a liar. lol. But seriously was this in a manual or at the time of the original games a magazine or something? I would have bet my life on it being "Whoopsi" when the first MK's were out lol.
