Does anyone here use all thier characters listed combos - or do you stick with 2 or 3

I think I agree with Fox17 on this one. All the combos he has listed for SZ are the same ones that I use. But SZ has some combos that don't seem to link and have slow startup and/or recovery times so it almost seems like it would always be a bad idea to use those. It would be nice if UniversalKingdom was correct that "every combo listed in the moves list has a purpose" but I need more convincing. If I'm going to land a hit with SZ I'm going to want it to be with a move that can transition into iceball...combo. If my attack get's blocked I want it to have a good recovery time like 2,2 has.

I will say that sometimes I get surprised by a certain move's utility though. For instance, 212, ice clone when used in the corner puts the clone closest to your opponent so I'll often mix up my 2,2 with 212 if my opponent is blocking me when attacking in the corner.

But using any of the other combos that don't link and have long startup/recovery times etc. seems kind of pointless, and I'm not sure it really helps to keep my opponents on their toes - seems like it would just help them beat me up.

Some combos will create different situations so I'd say they all have their use at one point or another. When I first started I learnt a couple 5-6 hit combos and a 10+ hit combo, over time I've gotten so used to them that I can switch up the combo mid-flow into something else depending on the situation.

I'd say using a variation of combos makes for an entertaining fight but, if you have to use 1 or 2 over and over to get the job done, then that's what you have to do.

In my oppinion Sub-Zero is not the GREAT character some people say he is. Don't get me wrong, I main him,Scorpion, and Ermac but he is a defensive character with slow specials other than his slide. His ice ball is very slow compared to the other characters projectiles and his ground freeze is almost useless due to its high margin for error to link it, even on total noobs lol. Sub is great against rushdown characters that don't have fast projectiles or recovery time like Baraka, Sheeva, Kratos, and Cyber Sub-Zero. His combo set is rather weak compared to others. The most damaging combos he can do, everyone does! What they need to do is patch his 2,2,4 or 2,1,4 so he can connect it into his slide after a pop up attack. Then that would be really COOL.

Oh and send a patch that will enable Scorpion to include his hellfire at the end of a combo like he was able to do in MKvsDC.

in mk you have to maximize your damage that's why most ppl only use two or three combos,i mean it's all about reading your opponent and then punish him with ur most damaging combo or the combo adequate for the situation (low -mid),but for rush down characters like jc or liu kang you have to play with more combos not just ur launchers to apply pressure on the opponent and making him do a mistake then punish him.
