that the two fighting alternate, and that a couple of them from what I can tell, I recognize as characters from previous titles. I noticed Frost, Reiko and Kenshi. Hope that means they'll be DLC down the road.

I was never a fan of Rekio, but Kenshi and Frost would be a nice addition. Bo Rai Cho would be prefect to finish up a DLC package with Frost and Kenshi!

But in all seriousness, I stopped playing after Mortal Kombat 4 so I really have no idea who any of these characters are anyway (except Reiko, who always kinda looked like an evil Daily Show's Jon Stewart...at least in 4).
 
I wish I agreed, cause an evil Jon Stewart would be awesome and I would always play him. Reiko grew on me after the whole helmet debacle went canon.

I seriously have no idea what you're talking about, but it sounds a lot more interesting than Kenshi.

The "helmet debacle" he's referring to was the situation way back when when many people thought he was Shao Kahn because of his MK4 ending. And somebody in this thread said Reiko in MK4 looked like an evil Jon Stewart, so that's why he said he wanted to play as an evil Jon Stewart.
 
I Hope not i dont like any of that characters. The only cool character after MKT was Quan Chi and he is the game so i dont care about any other, Id love to see Rain again that is a cool character.

I saw Reiko, Frost, Sareena or Skarlett, Taven or Daegon and Kenshi.
 
i still dont understand why ppl keep saying, I dont want these kharacters in the game. Why the hell not? This new tech and fighting engine can make EVERY kharacter fun to play as, especially in tag team mode. I welcome any or everyone to this game and will buy all of them cuz I have enjoyed every kharacter in this game. Some took a little more time to get used to, but in the end they were still all alot of fun.
 
I like Kenshi and Reiko and would definitely like to see Reiko join Kenshi as DLC. I don't mind Frost and don't much care for the other fighters other than Skarlet. I don't really know anything about her (obviously) and am all for giving her a chance to shine. Not to mention she's free DLC for 360 lol. I love free.

I really like the animated backgrounds in MK9. Seeing Torch/Blaze and Hornbuckle back in MKII was cool, but seeing a series of different fighter actually duking it out in the background is awesome, in my opinion.
 
Boon asked for an "order of preference" for DLC on Twitter a few months ago. I'm guessing all of these are being worked on, even if we only know for sure that two of them are. He mentioned Kenshi, Rain, Shinnok, Cyber Smoke, Tanya and a new character (i.e. Scarlet).
