Did the leaks ruined your mk experience ?

only thing i did was look at the pics and read up on Sektor's new bio
other than that I didn't read too much into the endings/storyline

so no it didn't ruined the experience for me yet
 
Decent. I would have done some changes to make it seem more realistic and mature but whatever. My only complaint is the unneeded chane to YSZ that has ruined the character forever in my eyes.

Spoiler:
No longer will he...

-Spare his enemy and show humanity that will touch even the Infernal Ninja.
-Escape Automation on his own against an entire Ninja Clan.
-Chooses to fight his clan and quit running after his best friend Smoke is captured and turned into an Ambomination against his will.
-Defeat Cyrax and reprogram him for a different cause than killing innocents.
-Showing the humanity in Smoke that still existed despite the automation.
-Return to being Sub-Zero in honor of his brother as he battles Quan Chi/Shinnok.
-Battle Sektor, the perfect Cyborg Assassin, as a mere human that was outmatched and still managed to win despite humanities faults.
-Become Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei.
-Reform the Lin Kuei as a reliable force to aid Earthrealm and Raiden untill Raiden's fall from grace.
-Befriend Sareena and show her the good of humanity by offering her sanctuary despite his clans racist views against her kind.
-Battles his brother as a human who has overcome the sins of their past and begins his attempts to purify his brothers soul.
-Takes Frost under his wing as his greatest Pupil but also his greatest enemy due to his inability to hurt the girl he grew to love as a daughter.
-One of the few to survive the events of DA and serves with the remaining others as the last bastion to battle Onaga.
-Finds out the truth of his powers and learns to master them with his 100% human body that isn't hindered by lame cybernetics such is how Cyrax and Smoke lost their powers after being made Cyborgs.
-Lent his power to aid in the defeat of Onaga in Deception.
-Repels a Nanodemon invasion with Taven and goes with reprogramming Smoke and purifying Noob.
-One of the few confirmed to survive Armageddon when they went to work on the sequel that was axed in favor of MK vs DC Universe.

Instead we have...

-Captured like a punk by his Clan when Raiden helps despite in previous MKs where he escaped on his own without aid.
-Made into a souless machine that is sent to kill.
-Defeated and than reprogrammed after one battle.
-Acts as a failed spy who upon return it's revealed that the information he has happens before he can speak of it.
-Defeats Noob than vanishes because it's cooler to be a 'loner' now that he's an abomination to what he used to be.
-Predator wannabe.
 
Not at all. I can't wait until the 19th now, we may know the lines but seeing it is a whole different monster.

I hope Cyber-Reptile becomes DLC later on, that sounds awesome.
 
If that happened to Reptile it wouldn't be canon and would just a cool 'what-if' DLC character. At least Reptile fans would get to eat their cake and ask for pie as seconds in that scenerio. All YSZ fans have is... A Refrigerator that they can't send back to the store due to it not being like advertised.

Not true. Fact is, story notwithstanding, you have both YSZ options in the new game. I find it highly unlikely MK is going to abandon a ninja Sub Zero in future games, whether it is canon or not.
 
Not exactly.

When this MK ends it's CSZ that's left as the canon character. He isn't a DLC character, he's canon and that alone has derailed and ruined YSZ beyond repair outside of a retcon.

That's why I said you get pie and cake if that happens for Reptile fans. You get to keep the 'Real' Reptile as Canon and get to use the "What-if" Reptile for fun without it ruining what made Reptile so popular. Kinda hard for him to have his story of bringing back his race and the path he takes to do it if he ends up a Cyborg without any man parts or free will.
 
Nope not at all. I read everything but the story so far and it just makes me want the game even more. If there's a chance leaks will ruin things for you then best to not even bother no matter how tempted you are to take a peek..

you only think that because of Cyber Sub Zero. Get over it man, thie story is awesome, from beginning to end!
 
The story is awesome expect that big important part. Nothing is different but a role reversal that wasen't needed. Why did it have to be either or other than lazy writing?
 
I've read all of the spoilers except for the story mode and about half of the endings. I think some things would be better knowing by surprise from playing the game, but anticipation got the better of me. But I definitley don't have regrets for reading or looking at it. I'm sure there will be A LOT more surprises in the game than what was leaked.
 
Only a bit because discovering some of the secrets that were leaked while playing would have been awesome. But all of this makes me even more excited to get the same, so it's not as bad for me as others.
 
Of course not, and if it ruined someone's experience note that noone put a gun next to your head to read nothing.
 
I read every single spoiler possible and my insatiable appetite for Mortal Kombat is still unsatisfied.

These spoilers have only made me even more excited for this game, I read the entire script and all it did was make me really want to see how all the scenes are played out.
