Just out of sheer curiosity, who here plays or has played Diablo I or II?

If so, what class did you play? What was your build for said class? Are you excited for Diablo III? If so, what classes are looking forward to in Diablo III?

So guys, give me your input. I'm looking for some people to play Diablo III with when it comes out.
 
Played every class in both games. I'm sure there were certain builds in diablo 1, but I never got into them much.

In diablo 2 I guess the best all around build was the hammerdin paladin, but my favorite paladin build was the smiter. I was able to solo uber tristram with him. Best character build to start out with as a total newb is a trap assassin. My absolute favorite build was a wolf barb. They are surprisingly good and fun and refreshing to see and play. Favorite character was the druid, don't know why, but I just liked him. Least favorite was the necromancer.
 
I played a little bit of Diablo 2 at my cousin's home. I tried out the barbarian and sorceress class. I didn't get far in either to get a defined build.

My favorite class was the Necromancer. I was always a BoneNecro. One of the best PVP builds around. Aside from the FrostSorc, Spearazon, and the stupid ass Hammerdin.

I hate Paladins. So much. Cheap bastards. lol

The druid was fun. One of the best tanking classes. Often overlooked as such, though.

The Assassin sucked in late game. At least in my opinion.
 
I've never played a Diablo game before, but seeing the trailer for Daible 3 at the VGA's pumped me up for it. Might just buy it.
 
my brother had these games a long time ago, I would play them sometimes, never really got too into them much, but I have some memories with them. I'd say it's Blizzard's best series.


But I got a feeling Diablo 3 will end up being the next Duke Nukem Forever

I don't know, man. Diablo 3 is implementing a lot of innovative mechanics that you really don't see anywhere else. If it was released right now, it would be ahead its time. Unlike Duke Nukem, which feels like it lags behind other titles of the related genre.

That being said, I can see where you're coming from. If Diablo 3 isn't released sometime this year, (which it should be)I would be willing to bet that you are right. For my sake and many others, I hope against hope that isn't the case.
