Character Relationships In Battles?

Stryker: "Cease and Desist!"

The problem with most of these is that thye are too serious, there should be some sort of pun/easter egg in some of them. Kabal, for instance, Says "let's see what your made of" in his intro. "Your made of Sterner Stuff is a throwback to that, but also to Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition, where the Inquisitor starts poking someone with a Cushion and after failing to get a confession, says "You''re made of sterner stuff!"
 
Shao Kahn: "You dare, defy THE Emperor of Outworld!!!!"
Goro: "I will not be beaten, by a mere mortal!"
Kintaro: roars "I WILL DESTROY YOU!"
Sheeva: No!! I must win for my people, and for my lord."
Jade: "I will win, no matter what it takes."
Kano: "Gahh!! I will not lose."
Sonya: "I cannot lose. Not at all!"

These and the last one should be rep points-worthy.

Shang Tsung vs Raiden
Shang Tsung-u know this is pointless ever for u,Thunder God.

Cyrax vs Sektor
Cyrax-this might be wat the Lin Kuei want but not i.
Sektor-u are Lin Kuei, it is wat u want regardless ur feelings.

Sonya vs JC
JC-Sonya sweetheart, when u gonna let me take u out.
Sonya-not the time or place Johnny.


Also just a thought. In the Arcade Ladder of u were to lose n the cpu/opponent didnt perform a fatality it would go to tue 10 sec count down screen. If ur pressed continue ur player would perform some hyped up 2nd wind type animation, and if you left time run out the character would do some type of shamed,regret,angry etc type animation.
Ex: If Kano was to lose n u continued to play, he would get up and say something like, theyll never see me coming this time as he tosses a knife at the screen.
If he was to lose n not continue, u would see him struggling to get up and lay on his back saying something like, this is embarrassing as he covers his face.

Just an idea, what do you think?

Nah. I would like the one from the MK4 continue arcade ladder to come back. Even though I know it's too late since it will come out in just 3 days, but if the player loses in the match in Arcade Mode, mainly before the sub-boss and final boss, the countinue screen will show the character, falling deeper into the Netherrealm as the countdown goes to zero. If the player continues to play, the character will be saved by a lightning strike, reappearing at the arena where they lost at. If the player does not continue, or the countdown is at zero, the character will land in the torture chamber, and will be tortured and teared apart by demons as you hear a evil laugh from the background. If loss during the sub-boss/final boss, the countdown at zero will have them perform their fatality to the player's character.

Another intro:
Smoke vs Sub-Zero (automated form):
Sub-Zero: "Main target found. Programming mission......Eliminate!!"
Smoke: "No. What have they done to you, Sub-Zero?"

Stryker vs Kabal:
Stryker: "Partner!! What happen to you?"
Kabal: "Long story short...they made me become a monster!"
