Character Analysis

Dude, you messed up again.

His most recent accomplishment has been to reprogram Smoke and use him as a template to create an army of cyber demons.

Smoke can't handle the programming of the Nettherrealm so in that case he isn't going to be able to make cyber demons.

So I don't think that would be possbile for Smoke.

I didnt put that because it might not be canon.. when mka comes out we will know.

True I see your point. But If I remember I thought I saw a pic of Smoke human again.

Plus you said he already accomplished this is where I got where you were wrong, no offense.

here is Shao Kahns analysis

About Shao Kahn
Shao Kahn, who resembles an Asian warrior-king in many respects, embodies evil in many forms. He is known for his godlike strength, extreme callousness, brutality and his fondness of personal executions, but rises above the level of a mere warlord through his intelligence and knowledge of black magic. Like his subordinate Shang Tsung, he has the power to consume other souls. His greatest strength is probably his ability to work towards his goals with great tenacity and his ability to organize, but his greatest weaknesses are his arrogance and his overconfidence.

Distinguishing Features
Shao Kahn's "death-mask" crown is one of the most recognizable features in the Mortal Kombat series. In addition to his death mask, his armor is also a memorable and highly recognizable feature. In many official depictions of Shao Kahn made by Midway, he is shown wearing a cape, which he takes off before starting a fight. Mortal Kombat Deception was the first game in which he wore the cape in-game.

Storyline
Shao Kahn originally served as an advisor to Onaga when he ruled Outworld as the Dragon King. Onaga's Empire had become the most powerful in the realms and so he began searching for a way to become immortal. Before his goal could be realized, Shao Kahn made his move by poisoning the Dragon King and taking his kingdom. Leading whatever troops that remained loyal to the Dragon King, Kahn continued many of the former emperor's plans. He continued to add lesser realms to Outworld, either through direct conquest or through Mortal Kombat.

A milestone in his military victories was the merging of Edenia with Outworld. After his warrior had won in Mortal Kombat, Kahn invaded the realm. On the battlefield, Kahn killed King Jerrod, and took Queen Sindel as his wife, raising their daughter, Princess Kitana, as his own. He had the young princess trained as his personal guard as an assassin. Sindel took her own life in an attempt to escape a life subservient to the Emperor. Unwilling to be denied, Kahn held her in Outworld stopping her transition to the after life.

Many years later, Kahn chose his next conquest... Earth. He sent Shang Tsung and eventually Goro to Earthrealm to prepare earth for an invasion. A turning point came when Prince Goro defeated the Great Kung Lao and started a winning streak that would last nine generations and 500 years. Shang Tsung, a shapeshifter, supervised the tournament. The tenth Mortal Kombat however, saw the defeat of both Goro and Tsung by a Shaolin monk, Liu Kang. Because of this, five hundred years of work was ruined. Shang Tsung begged for his life with Shao Kahn, and came up with a plan to lure Earth's chosen warriors to Outworld for a second tournament. If Earthrealm's champions would be killed, they would not be able to cause further damage to Kahn's plans. With the captured Kano and Sonya Blade as bait, and enraging Liu Kang by sending Baraka and his troops to destroy the Shaolin temples, they confidently waited for the Earth warriors to come and fall into the trap. Despite Kahn's vast power, Liu Kang's determination saw him through, and he defeated the despot. Unwilling to accept defeat, Kahn called his armies to destroy the Earthrealm warriors. They fled back to Earthrealm, out of Kahn's clutches.

Shao Kahn (Mortal Kombat: Deception).By this time, Shang Tsung had good news for the emperor: he could resurrect queen Sindel in Earthrealm, and Kahn could reach across the border to claim her, which would merge Earthrealm and Outworld in the process. Kahn told him to do it, and when he reached across, the realms merged, and the souls of every living being in Earthrealm were ripped from their bodies. Kahn's day finally seemed to have come. Lord Raiden had protected the souls of a handful of warriors, but Kahn sent extermination squads to kill them. In the ensuing fights, Kahn was confronted by Kung Lao, a Shaolin monk and descendant of the warrior Goro defeated to become champion of Kombat, but Kahn crushed him. Raiden brought Liu Kang to fight him again, and the Shaolin Monk wore Kahn down enough for him to recall his squads and retreat to Outworld, which stopped the merger and restored Earthrealm to its status before the merger took place. To make matters worse, many of his former loyals had abandoned him, and Kitana had succeeded in turning Sindel to her side, and restore Edenia as an independent realm. In three years' time, he had also lost three high ranking officers of his army.

The emperor was now greatly weakened. The Edenians had made peace and military treaties with the Shokan, whom Kahn had always heavily relied on, and were ready to attack Outworld a few years later. It was only by his new commander Kano's ingenuity, and the stealth of his unreliable assassin Noob Saibot that Kahn was able to save the day and force the Edenian army into a draw. Then, Shang Tsung came to Kahn's court with the sorcerer Quan Chi, and they announced their undying loyalty to the master of Outworld. As they did so, they sprung on him, overwhelmed him and killed him. His skull-faced crown fell from his head and bounced to the ground. This is the fall of the mighty emperor.

Sorry to say it but Khan didn't die...

It was a magical clone put in his place in case of that emergency.

He already now has the Shokans on his side since he saved Goro from death in MK:D/right before. (See the GC version please)

I mean sure it showed his bloody skull helmet, but many people have said it was a clone thus he is in MK:D...

So how is he dead?

Edit-here is the proof MK:D bio:

My defeat at the hands of the Earthrealm warriors had left me weakened, and my
dominance in Outworld was waning. Kitana’s forces were closing in. It was only
a matter of time before they would overrun my stronghold. Using a powerful
magic item retrieved long ago by my minions, I created a clone of myself to
draw my enemies’ attention while I escaped into the wild. When I have regained
my strength, I will destroy all who have opposed my rule. Though I had gone
through great lengths to ensure my old nemesis Onaga could never be revived, I
have discovered that he has indeed returned from beyond death, as his holy men

has prophesied. He now commands the Tarkatan horde, a vicious fighting force
once loyal to me. When I have killed Onaga and regained control of Outworld,
they will pay for their treason with their lives!

here is Shang Stungs

About Shang Tsung
Shang Tsung is a demonic shapeshifter, who needs to consume souls in order to sustain his health and life. In the Mortal Kombat series, he is the epitome of cunning and decadence, as symbolized by his preference for lavish parties, grand palaces and stylish clothing. Unlike the crude Shao Kahn, this bombast is a façade, disguising Tsung's true intellectual and mental sophistication. His nemesis is Liu Kang, but throughout his unnatural lifespan, he has earned the hatred of many people.

Storyline
Contrary to popular perception, Shang Tsung was not born on Outworld, but actually came from Earthrealm. He was once a representative of Earth realm who fought in the early days of the Mortal Kombat tournament. His lust for knowledge and power would cause him to go astray by satisfying his own needs. The Gods became angry at him, and they cursed him: he would rapidly age, unless he consumed the living souls of other people. A side effect of consuming souls is that Shang Tsung gained their knowledge, and the constant revitalization extended his life. By becoming a roaming sorcerer, he was enlisted by Outworld's emperor Shao Kahn many millennia ago. There, he became leader of the cult of Shadow Priests.

It was Shang Tsung who was instrumental in Kahn's plan to have his dead queen Sindel reborn on Earth so he could claim both her and that realm, and it was also he who supervised the Mortal Kombat tournaments on Earth. Through his superior powers, he quickly overcame all competition. He incurred his first defeat, however, at the hands of the Great Kung Lao, who was in turn defeated later by Tsung's student the Shokan prince Goro. Shang Tsung consumed his soul in retaliation for his earlier defeat, and learned of the location of Shinnok's amulet. He traded this knowledge to Quan Chi in exchange for assistance in reviving Queen Sindel at a later date. Tsung then presided over the tournament for the next 500 years, watching Goro rack up a winning streak that would eventually unbalance the furies and allow his lord Shao Kahn to invade Earthrealm.

Near the end of this time period, Tsung learned of the swordsman Kenshi. Realizing that Kenshi's pride could easily be exploited, Tsung disguised himself as an old man named Song. He praised Kenshi for his ability, telling him that he deserved a sword worthy of his skill. He then led Kenshi through an ancient underground labyrinth, and stopped before a deep well, covered by a large stone. Tsung informed Kenshi the sword lay within. Once Kenshi removed the lid, the souls of the swordsman's warrior king ancestors were released, blinding Kenshi. Tsung revealed his true self, proceeded to consume the souls, and left Kenshi to die, not knowing the swordsman would survive to become a bitter enemy.

During the tenth Mortal Kombat tournament, the final victory that would enable Kahn to conquer Earth, Liu Kang, a Shaolin Monk, defeated Goro, breaking the streak. Shang Tsung challenged Liu Kang, hoping to salvage something of that streak, and used all of his accumulated martial arts knowledge against the monk. Liu Kang prevailed, and Shang Tsung went back to Outworld. Dragged before Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung begged for his life. He told the tyrant that if they challenged Earthrealm to Mortal Kombat in Outworld, they would have to accept or forfeit. Kahn agreed to this plan, and restored Tsung's youth, gambling that the Elder Gods would not recognize him after so long. After Shao Kahn's defeat at the hands of Liu Kang, Shang Tsung contacted Quan Chi and called in the favor. To perform the task, Shang Tsung was made more powerful by Shao Kahn and he began the process. When Queen Sindel was revived in Earthrealm, Shao Kahn could reach across the realms and reclaim her, forcefully merging Earthrealm with Outworld. Shang Tsung led one of Kahn's extermination squads to hunt down the fighters that Lord Raiden had protected. Upon Kahn's defeat, Shang Tsung retreated with him back to Outworld proper, when the merger was reversed. Tsung would then be imprisoned for his failure to help his master merge Earthrealm into Outworld. He was periodically released to do Kahn's bidding, but was released after regaining Kahn's favour.

Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat: Deadly AllianceA few years later, Shang Tsung found Quan Chi in his palace courtyard, fighting Scorpion. When Quan Chi defeated him, he gave Shang an offer: if Tsung helped him revive the lost army of the Dragon King by means of his ability to transplant souls, he would open a "soulnado" to the Heavens, giving him an endless supply of souls. Tsung accepted, and together, they formed the Deadly Alliance. In order to carry out their scheme however, they first needed to remove the two largest obstacles in their way: Shao Kahn and Liu Kang.

Shang Tsung introduced Quan Chi to Shao Kahn, vouched for his loyalty, and then they attacked him. After defeating him (in actuality, a clone of him, although they had no way of knowing at the time), and accepting Kano's offer to serve them, they travelled through a portal known only to sorcerers and deities to Earthrealm, and headed to the Wu Shi Academy. There, Shang Tsung disguised himself as Kung Lao and approached Liu Kang. As Liu practiced his kata, Shang revealed his true face and attacked. Although Liu had the upper hand, Quan Chi struck from behind, giving Shang the opportunity to finally take his revenge on Liu Kang by breaking his neck and taking his soul.

Shang Tsung did not fully trust Quan Chi, so upon returning to Outworld, he gave the Oni Drahmin and Moloch, who had escaped from the Netherealm, an offer: after Tsung performed his part in the plan, Quan Chi, who the two despised for abandoning them in the infernal pits after promising to free them, would be theirs to do with as they wished.

The Deadly Alliance soon commanded Kano's troops to force a small Outworld village to construct a new palace around the tomb to house the Soulnado. When one of the citizens, Li Mei, attacked Kano, they offered to free her village if she could win a tournament hey would hold. About the same time, they approached Mavado, offering him a deal as well; he could earn the right to fight and kill Kano, in exchange for eliminating Kenshi, who had been spying on Tsung. Mavado accomplished his mission, and the Alliance granted him his wish. Li Mei, having won the local tournament, demanded her reward, but her soul instead began to be transferred to a mummified soldier of Onaga's army. It was at this time that the forces of Earthrealm, led by Raiden, attacked. Li Mei was rescued by Bo' Rai Cho, who escaped with her, but the remainder of the warriors assaulted the Alliance.

The two defeated Earthrealm's champions, and finally, Raiden. Their victory, however, would not be savored. Shang's lust for power and Quan Chi's suspicion finally came to light. The two fought, and Quan Chi emerged the victor. But immediately after defeating Tsung, he was confronted by a reborn Onaga, who seemed to shrug off his most powerful blasts with ease. Tsung regained consciousness, and recognizing the Dragon King to be an immediate threat, assisted Quan Chi in attacking him. Bare moments later, the thunder god did as well, but their combined efforts could not stop the former Outworld ruler, who had come to reclaim Quan Chi's amulet and his ancient army. In Raiden's ensuing last-ditch attempt at victory through a self-sacrificial blast, Shang Tsung was caught in the blast apparently killing him, releasing the soul of Liu Kang

But, Mavado couldn't have killed Kenshi- Sorry for being picky, BTW can I get this site where you are getting this from, because they've made a quite a few mistakes.

I lay near death after my fight with the Red Dragon Mavado. But the ninja Sub-
Zero found me and aided my recovery. As my wounds healed, the souls of my
ancestors told me of their return to my sword. Their captor, Shang Tsung, was
most certainly dead—though I did not know how or by whom. Having no more reason
to remain in Outworld, I made a temporary alliance with Sub-Zero, and we began
our search for a way back to Earthrealm. Still weary, I traveled with Sub-Zero
to the portal that had brought him to Outworld, I noticed that his armor was
charred and worn from battle. He told me of a powerful warrior named Hotaru, a
loyalist to a new ruler of this realm, who had attacked him for slaying a troop
of Tarkatan militia. Sub-Zero thought he had defeated the warrior, but I am not
so sure. I have sensed a presence following us for the past few days…

How I am writing my posts is on a game by game basis and in mk deadly alliance it tells us that Mavado killed Kenshi but he didnt kill him because Sub Zero heeled his wounds

and the part about Shao Kahn I know it was a clone but it didnt tell us that until mk deception( I wrote it in Shang Stungs analysis)

Er. Yeah, I noticed that, by why not make it perfectly correct the first time? No offense.

I mean Mavodo's ending I don't think happened. Since Kabal killed him before that happened. *See Kabal's summery data/bio for MK:D.

i'm just correcting it that is all. No offense..

here is Sonyas :D

About Sonya
Lieutenant Sonya Blade is a member of a top United States Special Forces unit. She is a sternly beautiful, tough-as-nails lieutenant. Her impulsiveness is catalyzed by her superior and good friend Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs. Sonya represents a very emancipated and headstrong woman, but for all her stubbornness and pride, she deeply cares about the lives of her friends and comrades. Johnny Cage, her fellow Earthrealm warrior and friend, seems to view her as a romantic interest, but there has been no indications of her feelings for him, if any. She has a long-standing enmity with the thug Kano, who stands for everything Sonya despises.

Storyline
Sonya and her team were in hot pursuit of Kano, the leader of the Black Dragon organization. After he jumped onto a ship, they followed him to a remote island where Shang Tsung's Mortal Kombat tournament was being held. Upon arriving they were ambushed by Tsung's personal guard. To keep her team safe, she agreed to compete in the tournament. Shang Tsung, however, had no intention of fulfilling his end of the bargain. He had her unit killed and, after he was defeated by Liu Kang, took her and Kano prisoner to Outworld to appease the emperor, Shao Kahn.

Sonya was able to send a signal to her superior Jax from Outworld, however, and during the events of Mortal Kombat II he traveled there to find her. Jax made contact with the other Earthrealm warriors, and together they learned of Kahn's scheme to invade Earth. She was later freed and Kano arrested, but as soon as they had passed through the portal to Earth, Kano escaped and ran back into Outworld.

Sonya and Jax now had other things on their minds, however. They tried to warn the United States government of the impending invasion, but their claims went unheeded. As such, they began preparing by themselves for the coming invasion. When the fateful day finally came, Shao Kahn stripped Earthrealm of all human souls, with the exception of a few chosen warriors, one of which was Sonya, who would soon encounter her old nemesis Kano on top of a skyscraper near Kahn's fortress. A fierce battle was waged between the two. Kano gained the upper hand, and kicked Sonya onto a stone gargoyle. Sonya feigned defeat, but when Kano advanced to finish Sonya off, grabbing her by the hair, she performed her most infamous special move: the leg grab, and hurled Kano off the roof to his apparent death, taking a lock of her hair with him.

After her journey into Outworld and Shao Kahn's near destruction of Earth, Sonya became a member of Earth's own Outer World Investigation Agency. The Black Dragon kept crossing her path, however. Its last known member, Jarek, had fled to Edenia while Sonya was chasing him. This lead Sonya and Jax to team up with Raiden and Liu Kang to free that realm from the Fallen Elder God Shinnok's grasp, and to prevent him from coming to Earth. After Shinnok's defeat, in which Jarek had reluctantly participated to save himself, Jarek tried to kill Sonya, but died in the attempt.

Sonya Blade (Kerri Hoskins) MK Trilogy Promotional Card PicYears later, Sonya would once again heed Raiden's call, this time to travel to Outworld after the Deadly Alliance had slain Shao Kahn and Liu Kang. For Sonya, this coincided with her search for two missing OIA agents, Cyrax and Kenshi. She was unable to find them, however, and was killed in a fight with the Deadly Alliance and its minions. The Deadly Alliance's victory was short-lived, as Onaga had been resurrected moments after their victory over Raiden himself, and reclaimed Outworld, as well as the amulet. With his ability to raise the dead at will, he resurrected and enslaved Sonya and her fallen comrades

Nope it happened. Along with the villiage of monks/Wu-Shi academy being attacked.

Although that must have hurt when she got her head smashed against the wall  ouch!

Here is part of it:Edit-

MK2 Bio
He led the attack against Liu Kang's Shaolin Temple. Baraka belongs to a
nomadic race of mutants living in the waste-lands of the Outworld. His fighting
skills gained the attention of Shao Kahn who recruited him into his army.

Thus Sonya was with them up until the start of MK2 which happened a little later.

I know Baraka led the attack on the Shaolin Temple but it might not be canon that Baraka took Sonya. Im not not saying that he didnt, but most facts in MK Shaolin Monks isnt canon.

here is Goros analysis :)

About Goro
Goro was introduced in the very first Mortal Kombat game as the sub-boss, where he was infamously very difficult to defeat; not only did he inflict more damage with each hit than the other fighters, he also moved faster. He is the Prince of the Shokan race, hailing from the Kuatan realm of Outworld. As a General in the Outworld Emperor Shao Kahn's militia, he fights for the pride and glory of his people.

Storyline

Goro in the original Mortal Kombat.Goro became Grand Champion of the Mortal Kombat tournament after defeating the Great Kung Lao. For 500 years, he remained undefeated, and helped Shang Tsung grow ever closer to achieving Shao Kahn's goal of domination over Earthrealm. In his 10th title defence however, he faced Liu Kang. Kang pushed him to his limits, and defeated the mighty Shokan before going on to defeat Tsung. In the tournament's aftermath, Goro went missing, and it is theorized that he retreated into Outworld during this time. Shang Tsung, meanwhile, faced execution for his appearent death.

He would resurface after Kahn's downfall, during the events of Mortal Kombat Gold. Despite having the intent to avenge his loss at Liu Kang's hands, Goro began to take an interest in the matters of his own race and joined his fellow Shokans in war against the Centaurians. Princess Kitana intervened and negotiated both races through a truce and peace accord. The meeting was interrupted, however, by Kung Lao, who had himself desired to challenge his ancestor's killer. The Shaolin Monk lashed out with a ceremonial strike of revenge that left Goro's chest scarred. Considering the score settled, the two shook hands. When Shinnok and his legion were defeated and Edenia was free once more, Goro and the Shokan race decided to ally themselves with the Edenians. Years later, during the time of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the united Edenian and Shokan forces attacked the weakened Shao Kahn's armies. Exhausted from battle, Goro was struck from behind and mortally wounded by Noob Saibot,
.
The Gamecube edition of Mortal Kombat: Deception expands on Goro's story. It is revealed here that Goro was recovered by none other than Shao Kahn himself. Kahn offers Goro and his people priority in Outworld over the Centaurs if he sides with him and helps him destroy the resurrected Dragon King, Onaga; Goro places his royal emblem on a disfigured Shokan and readily agrees to serve Kahn once again.

His ending depicts him as killing Kitana as a sign of loyalty to the Emperor. Whether the Gamecube-exclusive storyline or ending become part of Mortal Kombat canon or not is yet to be decided, but Kahn, Goro and Kitana are still slated to appear in the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

The Baraka thing does make sense, since hewas kept in Out World by the emperor, *due to him losing*, Plus by what some wrote it was most likely Baraka, or Shang Tsung disguised as Baraka.

BTW I know MK:SM isn't always cannon, but some parts like when Sub-Zero gets his eye sort of cut by Kung-Lao's hat that happened, along with a few other goodies... LOL.

The Goro one seems ok.

Although you forgot a few things:

1) He is a prince

2)His father and mother, 7 wives, and one son.

3) In MK1 he is easy to beat by jumping and HK/LKing him.

Heres ermacs

About Ermac
Making his official debut in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Ermac has been a controversial and mysterious character in the Mortal Kombat series, whose existence was rumored since its inception. It is now clear that Ermac is an amalgamation of many souls destroyed in Outworld's wars. These souls would come to be controlled by Shao Kahn and his Shadow Priests. Due to the sheer concentration of souls augumented within Ermac, he posesses the gift of powerful telekinesis, and can travel to different realms. However, a weakness of his is the hazardous hostile phenomenal forces within the depths of the Netherealm, where his powers and souls are drained, weakening him dramatically.

He made his return in Mortal Kombat: Deception, where he was not only free to choose his own destiny, but was also a force of good. To prove this, he decides to help Liu Kang in his own quest.

Storyline
Ermac is an entity composed of legions of dead souls, dispatched in meaningless wars. Shao Kahn, after learning of his existence, brought Ermac under his control, finding his vast skill and telekinetic powers of use. On one mission for Shao Kahn in the Netherealm, Ermac became acquainted with Shujinko, and was assaulted by Ashrah, who believed him to be a demon.

Ermac in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.Ermac served as one of Shao Kahn's greatest warriors, participating in the invasion of Earthrealm. However, after Shao Kahn's defeat and subsequent loss of power, Ermac remained under his control, and without instructions, he wandered Outworld. During the events of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, the wandering Ermac was found by the blind swordsman, Kenshi, and was freed from Kahn's control. To show his gratitude, Ermac taught Kenshi the art of telekinesis, specifically the Telekinetic Slam, a move they share in Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Ermac's newfound freedom meant he was also free to choose his own destiny. He decided to repent his earlier ways and made a decision to become a force for good. Upon making this decision, he meets a warrior soul who, like Kenshi, understood his suffering. This warrior soul was that of Liu Kang, and was in need not only of another ally, but of assistance in freeing his enslaved comrades. Ermac was eager to help Liu Kang, as this was an opportunity to help him atone for the evil he had committed in Shao Kahn's name.

Possible Future
Ermac decided to help Liu Kang, and the two would set out to free Kang's allies from Onaga's control. Ermac's ending depicts them as successful, but whether they were or not is unclear at the present time. With their immenent return in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, where they are scheduled to make a reappearance, more facts will be revealed.
