Johnny, Scorpion and Sub-Zero's are all "Throw" Brutalities, so I don't really think that those in particular are variation-specific.

Liu Kang's new Low Fireball Brutality.

I've seen it being done in both the Flame Fist and Dragon's Fire variations..........

 
I wonder if they are secret brutalities that are only in the variationless version of the characters maybe someone on here could try all of them out. Especially Kitana. Just let me know if they are some that people hadn't found yet.
