better than Deadly Alliance?

There are no items scattered on the arena giving enhanced speed etc. You just power up when you press the special button( R1 for PS2,Z for GCN.) In Deception the special move button always does throws so I guess you can call it the throw button. In Deadly Alliance the special button does all sorts of things such as evade(an automatic jump backwards) reversal ( grabbing the opponents attack and countering) Impale weapon ( stab) power-up(character grows big for a half a second and when he shrinks his moves are much more powerful for a limited time and of course regular throws.

oh
im gonna rent deception tomorrow cuz im leaning more towards it
if i don't like ti then im gonna buy deadly alliance

sry for double post, but which one has better gameplay
i like long combos, but i don't like being killed in one long combo, i like fights to last a lil while
and i which one has better characters, not in terms of popularity, but in terms of gameplay
EDIT:
what i mean is like:
whcih one do you just wanna play for fun

Really, the gameplay isn't much different between the two. If you don't like getting whooped by long-ass combos, though, Deception has combo breakers. You get a total of three per match, and they let you stop your opponent's combo at any time.

Deception is probably funner as well, just out of the sheer number of things you can do (the standard game, Konquest mode, Chess Kombat and Puzzle Kombat).

But dude, seriously, if you can't figure out which game you want more from the wall-to-wall advice people have already volunteered, just rent them both and see which is more to your liking. Or hell, even buy them both, they're only like $20 each now, even cheaper if you get 'em used.

i rented deception and its really good
konquest is a piece of cake
my only complaint is that there isn't a mode where you can just fight characters without them leading up to a boss (but not that many games have a mode like that)

i was wondering, what modes does Deadly Alliance have, the same ones as Deception?

Deadly Alliance just has the normal game and Konquest mode. Konquest mode in that game is nothing like the one in Deception, though; it's just a bunch of training scenarios that they stick you in.

To me, Deception is way better than Deadly Alliance.
Well..I'm ok with you but try to explain why cause if we just wanna say MK:D or MK:DA we would JUST have a poll..And nowhere to poste our comments

NOTE:Don't think that im being mean with you,i learned in a harder way

The reason is because the stages' death traps, a better konquest mode, two extra mini games like Puzzle and Chess Kombat and a lot more intense storyline than ever.
