Ok. So I'm bored. But what the heck.

3 guys walked into a hotel. They all wanted to share 1 room. The manager said that it will cost $30. So the men payed $10 each. The men went to their room.

The manager remembered that it was Wednesday and that there was a $5 discount. So he gave $5 to the bellboy and told him to give it to the men.

The bellboy went to the men and gave then $5 back. But because of the bellboys honesty, the men gave him $2 as a tip.

So in the end, the men each payed $9 ($9x3=$27) and the bellboy received $2 ($27+$2=$29). Where did the missing dollar go?
 
They didn't pay $9 each, because the bill was only $25, not $27. Each of their bills were actually $8.33, totalling $25 (or $24.99, someone must have added an extra cent in there). Then when the $5 comes back, a dollar goes to each man and $2 to the bellboy. 25+1+1+1+2=30.
The missing dollar is the 3 rounds of 33 cents also shared between them.
Now I'm going to go try and make my brain stop hurting. Touche, Jinko.
 
Well, they did pay $9 each because the bellboy gave them each $1 back (originally payed $10-$1+$9)
 
yeah but they all paid £27 including the bellboy's tip, and the other $3 came back into their pockets. The $9 each was $8.33 for the bill, and 66 cents towards the bellboy. $8.33 x 3 = $24.99, rounded up to $25. 66 cents x 3 is $1.98, rounded up to $2, so they've all paid $9 in total. The other $3 were returned to the people in the room. Ther was no missing dollar.
 
The three guys paid 30 bucks for a room, bell boy brings back 5 bucks for the wednesday discount, which totals 25. three guys pocket a dollar each, 26, 27, 28....and give the bell boy 2 bucks, 29 and 30 bucks. There is no missing dollar. But for some reason there is if you multiply 9 x 3 + 2 = 29.
 
Its some maths glitch I guess. Some other guy suggested that they used the dollar on drugs.

That movie was so wrong with it's math.
