I know it's suck that most of the characters had to go, but we have to accept the fact that it's time for the new cats to show what they have what it takes to survive the kombat.
Don't worry! After this final battle, I may retire from it for good. Since I played MK when I was very young, I think it's time for me to step aside from the franchise when I'm done playing Armageddon. Sorry, but I've made my decision and its final. I'll manage. Plus, I want to see if the new generation characters are good enough to take over the original's place.

Ok.
....Sure!

To everyone else:
Sorry, but I am going to do that. It's that time for me to step aside from the remainder of the franchise, unless someone gets cocky and needs to be put in their place. Everything else, I'm going to retire. :(

Umm...How noble of you.

I'll simply play MK until I'm sick of it. When the series finally steps into a direction I simply dislike...call me crazy..but..I might have something...
I'll find a new game to entertain me! :o

I was thinking more 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor, S_K.

  Awww! Thanks a lot guys. Good song Chief, but can it be a sad song please. I'm more into R&B hit songs. Thanks!

As for anyone else still playing even the new generation of MK, I like to say is good luck and let the kombat spirit flow in your blood.

Mortal Kombat has become old in my opinion. I think that with a fresh perspective the designers will come up with better ideas. A more versatile visual style would be good as well.

Motal Kombat has become old.

Over ten years the franchise has been going for now. In video game terms that is an eternity, Imo. But when it comes to reinventing or reintroducing innovation and original ideas to the next generation of MK, I am a bit worrried. Boon himself said that he wanted to reinvent Mortal Kombat. I would like to see him or anyone else for that matter reinvent Subbys Deep Freeze or Scorpions Get Over Here? Undoubtedly two of the most orginal moves in MK. Let's think for a moment that both of the aforementioned characters will make it into the next MK series. They have to, they are two of the Icons of the MK universe. Much like Ken and Ryu in Streetfighter. Imagine Streetfighter with no Ken or Ryu? Golly gosh!

All I am trying to say here is, I can't see how Midway is going to improve MK in anything else besides technical terms. That is, Visuals, sounds and gameplay may still be further improved after MKA. Who's to say that Mk may even change so much to the extent that it's nothing like the original game that started this worldwide phenomena? I for one was clueless that MK would make it this far and I never dreamed that I would be here now talking about it on a forum dedicated to the very game I didnt think twice about when viewing my very first fatality all those years ago.

I'll say what I always say "We shall see"

Come on guy I'm sure you won't retire MK needs fans like you more XD.

Motal Kombat has become old.

I feel ancient now XD.

Unless Boon changed his mind [for which he shallt be slain] he said Scorpion and Sub-Zero would be back... I'm sure they can come up with all kinds of creativity we are talking about a great fighting franchise how many last 10 years? I don't think even Night Stalkers will be able to last much longer let alone SC, SF, etc.

But MK I'm sure will become new again. I can't wait till graphics get so intence we have a nose bleed from just getting hit/etc. (You can take the pain people XD We've been dishing it out for years 10 years if you want to extract count... Wait a minute 10 years? That isn't entirely correct it is 2006 and MK2 came out in 1995, while MK1 came out what 1991-1993?

So more like 10-15 years XD. (Unless you meant only counting each year a game was realeased than never mind I was confused by what you meant.

All I can say is play GTA3, VC, and SA all three are changed in terms of the gameplay and graphics (graphics somewhat ok?)...

But hey I hope they do change it although I'm going to miss the Ninja team if all but two are gone [Sub-Zero and Scorpion DX] ...

I'll say what I always say "We shall see"

I hope we don't end up blind. DX (metaphor meaning:) [things may go wrong in a terrible way DX]

when did he say scorpion and subby would be back he never said that in the gi issue with the interview in it

If you read my entire post you will see that I was speculating and using those two as an example only.

And he never 'Did Not' say that either. Who knows what Boon has planned, suffice to say he is probably already working MK the next series as we speak. Ed and team really are going to have to put on their thinking caps next time around. How do yuo top an Mk game that has everything [mka] already?

Logical thinking=bad with interviews, I think we got what he meant. Plus Scorpion IS immortal along with a few others and how many times has he been killed exactly? 2? 3 times? 4 times? I mean if he keeps coming back even if he does die in this one he could come back.

Plus the Elder Gods could make him the new Elder God champion for eternity although it pains me to even think that.

Exactly XD. I'm going to laugh if he brings back Goro for some reason.

They can top it I know it thye topped MK:T didn't they not. (Note even though it is my favorite you must admit there have been better MK games in some retrospect.)

I would still laugh if the graphics become so good they COULD kill us, I mean not funny but still the idea of being hit and then your nose bleeds. (could be a coincidence XD) or that we could actually toughen our real bodies through some excercises or something.

BTW if Sheeva is still around by the time graphics get that good I'll throw up. XD

It would be cool to have an interactive test your might where it comes out of the screen 8) [/quote]

In my view, the only original characters from the old generations that are appearing in new generation MK games are Scorpion, Noob Saibot and Fujin. Sub-Zero will be in there, but it might a different one because due to that the Sub-Zero that we know and loved is probably very old.
