About this "leave to the next game" trend

By the same logic of "saving characters" we should hate every character in MK9 except Kratos, Skarlet, and Freddy right? because all the other characters have been in other games...
 
Rain's teleport is still a lot slower than Raiden and the enhanced version of it is completely different from Raiden's.

There are copycated moves in MK9 though *looks at Cyber Sub-Zero*

And Rain's teleport has a pop up, not to mention the X is offensive.

CSZ has only 1 unique move, his Ice Parry, that SZ already had in MKvsDC, and SZ had it in earlier versions of the game, you can see SZ using it in some videos, so bad they removed it, I prefer it rather than the Ice Clone.
 
I don't really see the problem with releasing at least 2 or 3 more DLC characters. I mean, there would still be plenty of more characters to bring back in the next game too.
