Why does his hands turn green when you do his enhanced nut punch...also when you do his square, X, triangle combo?? Is it just for aesthetics?

It's because he charges the power in his hand and unleashes it through there.

That's probably an extra thing he does in that combo to increase the damage. Like with Mileena and how if you stick a sai in your opponent before doing her Leaping Neckbite attack it does more damage.
